about 1-250, but thats not neccarily the point.
i guess a newbie would be of someone who has joined the site, and in about a month i guess they could be called a member, though their still members no matter what.

A newbie is the same as everyone else on this site but some consider them Non-Important because of how many visits they have.

I consider a newbie to be a person that has either recently joined the site, or has not gotten the hang of the forums yet. This can work in other categories as I would consider a person that has just started drawing in the FanArt section a newbie, or someone who has just started writing, etc.
To me a person can have a few thousand visits and still be a newbie if they 1. Have just been joining and leaving a lot in the short time that they hae joined 2. Have not learned to have civil conversation and behaviour with other users of the forum.
The opposite can be true too, There can be a person that has been online for only a day or so that is civil and respectful enough where they fit right in. There are also people that may have been here for years that simply don't post much and thus have few visits.
Either way, I don't really care who's a "newbie" or not, if they're cool, etc., then I'll respect them for who they are, not what category that I place them in. :\

I don't really see a point in the label... we should all be respected here, doesn't matter whether you've been here 2 years or if you just joined. Everyone should feel welcomed here at these forums, everyone has a right to voice their opinion, it's how they do it that matters. If I had to guess I'd say it's someone who is relatively new to the way things go around here on this forum.
Newbie/newb/noob - Basic beginner. Doesn't know too much about the situation at hand, but does learn over time. Tends to watch and learn, and accepts help, negative or positive. Can be disruptive at times, but not on purpose.
n00b - This thing is a fucking nuisance. They never learn anything, even after extended periods of time. They tend to be disruptive, and flames of theirs consist of "lol ur a doosh rofl." They don't listen to reason, and only listen if someone agrees with them. Very insubordinate. Grammar and typing skills are usually very poor. Will tend to try and know things in order to seem cool.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound rude, but, why does it matter what they consider you? I just see you as Torchia, I've seen you around here for a few months, seem like a decent member, I don't see why I'd look at you as a newbie.... to me you're another person sharing their views on this site.

Visit number has NOTHING to do with somebody being a "newbie" or not. Just look at Noob_Sareena. He has 8000+ visits and I became a member here WAAAAAAY before he did.
Like Nova said, it has to do with either how long it's been since they joined a site (I guess a couple of months could do) and/or if they understand how a site "works."

In my book a Noob/newb/newbie is someone who hasn't found his/her niche here. They are the people who post in the wrong forums, repeat the same questions, and have tendencies of blatantly flaming and spaming. If I call someone a noob, it's usually in a negative way.
As far as visits or time spent here, that doesn't mean anything. Here's an example: When Ghost-Dragon joined he picked up on how things are done, and he fit in just fine. He never was a noob. VanHelsing, on the other hand, had a rocky first start and never really got along with the board members, and his blatant flames got him banned. Now, he was a noob.

That depends. Does one of the definitions of noobs/nebies describe you in this forum? If not, then no, ofcourse not

Well, if you really wanna know...I consider you among the NEWER members here. Not necessarily a newbie, but going by MY concept of it, it depends on when you joined here.

under 10 visits.

Visits dont even matter...I could consider you a noob! I've been here a lot longer then you even tho you have more then double my visit count. Its easy to slip right in under the noob radar if you dont act like a moron. The only noobs I notice are the ones that;
1. Flame
2. Make retarded topics
3. Ask stupid questions

Anybody who can't bring intelligence to the table. Most people I'm unfamiliar with sometimes get tossed in the mix. Morons.
I have met a few people who were actually intelligent and I don't call them newbie, even if they are/were new. Just try not to know everything and life will get on a lot better.
Noob_Sareena is still a newbie by both counts.

Edit: I was going to say no to torchia's second question about being a newbie. And just say that he's new, but not a newbie.
But he persisted in the line of questioning and thus fell back again. Ethics of the net. So yes you are, now.

I remembered when I first joined this site and I used to care about what people thought about me. Once you decide that it really doesn't matter, that's when you're not a newbie anymore.

Some people have been at this site well past that, and still act like they're 9 years old (i've yet to prove to myself that they aren't), so i consider them to be "noobs". In fact people who i've only seen one post of, i hold in higher regard, because they haven't really had a chance to "prove" themselves, while people who have been here 8 months or so and still act like children have had plenty.
A newbie is someone who puts weird stuff on the site and they don't follow the rules. Most put everything in all caps, post in the wrong discussion, and put a lot of exclamation and question marks. Torchia, I don't consider you a newbie, I consider myself one though.
