More On Cause Of Reid Flair's Death, Ric Flair Thanks The Fans, WWE & Martha Hart Settle Lawsuit

As noted yesterday, the word "drugs" was the only word written under the "incapacity types" category on Reid Flair's police report. Reid was found dead in his hotel room in Charlotte, NC last Friday at the age of 25. WBTV in Charlotte reports that one of their sources told the station that investigators are looking into the possibility that Reid may have died from a drug overdose. Reid's father, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, spoke to the channel off-camera, stating, "I loved my son very much. Thanks to my fans for the support"

- The Associated Press is reportingthat WWE and Martha Hart, the widow of Owen Hart, have settled her lawsuit over the use of Owen's image and royalties. No further details were disclosed. Hart filed the lawsuit in June of 2010, claiming that the company did not pay royalty payments and violated an agreement to not use Owen's name and likeness.

Yeah no maybe the silly psycho bitch will let it go! She can quit doing what she claims the WWE was/is allegedly doing, using Owen for profit!

Macho prejudices of sweaty mostly naked men aside, I think it's a timely, concise gimmick that should work. Boosting it to an in-ring debut at Wrestlemania is beyond dubious, but the concept itself...

ditto, although the crowd last night, bless em, it got old fast listening to their chants. mix of lunatics and fanatics. mostly Europeans from what i've read and heard. so they likely did most if not all the chants

I couldn't get enough of the crowd. RAW could've been 5 hours long last night, I would've enjoyed cause of the crowd alone.

Meh, imo, to me they were a bunch of morons with more money than brains who paid likely damn good money to basically act like a bunch of retards the whole night long. I'm sure there were people in the crowd who didn't appreciate their stupidity. To me it took away from everything. Granted they did piss on the Orton/Sheamus match rightfully so, but it got old after awhile. When I go to a live event, and I've been to a few, I go to enjoy myself, not to listen to a bunch of drunks all night

Take away wrestlemania match, Johnny Curtis or WWE itself. What would you say if some wrestler came up to you said I'm going have ballroom gimmick. Chance are you would say it was stupid and never work. It same with Dude Love, hippy gimmick might not have worked half as well if they giving it to someone other than Mick Foley.



I'm not talking about wrestler, just the gimmick itself. The gimmick can only take you so far but wrestler still need prove he or she can put on good match.

Having the 'debut' match at Wrestlemania, doing it with Johnny Curtis, and WWE's current tendencies are all of the weak points. That's exactly what I'm saying. If you take those things away, there's nothing much stopping the gimmick working.

If someone says ballroom gimmick, with the full treatment (music, curtain, dance partner) -- it should work. It's a topical reference, something fun and different, a modern take on a pretty classic idea. Safe mid-card heel, if nothing else.

From what i heard about last night, WWE have dropped the ball by trying get him much heel heat as possible. Should have just leave it this week and then later on try get heel heat. I like i said, don't know whole story since I haven't watch it yet.

I thought he was getting disturbingly sexual on Smackdown. Not very PG.
Haven't seen RAW yet. Won't be shocked if the ball was dropped.

Won't be shocked if he isn't on the card come Wrestlemania XXX. Won't even be surprised if he's been let go, by this time next year. WWE booking & Curtis are the least likely aspects of this thing to succeed.

Two Undertaker matches in a week...past Wrestlemania? The fucking sky must be falling. I think its amazing he's sticking around to put over The Shield. His match with Ambrose was awesome, I just wish he hadn't finished him clean. Reigns and Rollins should've jumped in once hell's gate was applied and d.q.'d the match.

Small gripe aside, once again, just happy to see the Undertaker on something other than ppv(helping young talent get over to boot). I don't expect it to go on after this week...**crosses fingers for match at extreme rules anyway**

Ambrose and The Shield still looked strong. I'm VERY glad the match didn't end in a run in DQ, those things are awful and should only happen like 5 times a year at most. It takes away from the match. Getting pinned by the Undertaker is better than winning the U.S. title right now, so good for Ambrose.

Good point. I'm not a huge fan of run ins either, just a gut reaction. That's why I don't book matches I suppose. after re-watching the match, I can agree that they still looked strong.

Good way to fill the void left by Punk, too. Definitely enjoyed the solo match!
