Persecution of Islam in the USA? Christians and hatemongering?

I think everyone here are -if not entertained- informed about how an American may act from both sides of the fence now. You've seen the video, and you've seen what I wrote. We can get quite... passionate.
And clearly, Chrome, what happened in that video by those Christians (and Zionist Jews) is disgusting; I think we should all take away what that one man did. He prayed for them. He prayed for their families. Not in a way to make someone see the light, merely a wish for good health and a safe life. And then, he engaged them. He could not fathom why they would throw their holy symbols on the ground to be stepped on. They made a half-assed excuse that it's only a symbol and that it's not an icon. That man and I are both confused on that subject, yet we both knew that if he stepped on the crosses they would have used that as fuel for their fire.
But as much as those kinds of people who spread hate angers me -and maybe this won't come as a shock to you- I still will defend their right to be heard. I don't have to agree. I don't even have to like you. But I'd take a bullet to stop someone from being silenced. No matter how fucked up they are. The reason is quite simple. Who is to decide who can and cannot talk? Who do you trust so resolutely with that much power that you would never think that they'd use it against you if given the opportunity?
I can think of no one. Not even family. Well, maybe especially not family. I can get pretty vocal at times. lol
But that's Americans for you. When we're passionate about something we make it a point to make it a point. Immediately you may think of this thread or those Xians, but guess what? That man practicing Islam in the park right there? He's also acting like an American. He went out in public, put on a jacket that spoke volumes (go back and read the wording on the back) and made it a point to demonstrate that his religion is of no threat to those people. Which means he went out of his way and planned to counter-protest their little shitball rally. To make noise. To be seen, to be heard. So yes, even he as a pacifist was being a bit of an asshole. He's American, what do you expect?
And as this thread has shown, you'd don't even have to be American to act like an American, right chardballz?
Even though chardballz was 31 flavors of wrong, I'll punch someone who tries to make him keep quiet. I'd rather yell back and forth with him until he dies from halitosis. Well, I'd rather he see how he was being completely off-kilter from reality, but I find that less and less likely as time passes.
At any rate, I hope this has been nothing if not educational. Oh, and the moment you think "Those stupid fucking evil blah blah blah americans... blah blah blah hate that country..." Just remember, you're doing the same damn thing as those protesters in the video. You just exchanged Muslim with American.

As a Catholic, I have never felt threatened by Islam nor do I think that everyone who practices it is a "terrorist".
I don't get why the hell people still think that.
You get good and bad from every race and religion.
