Also, the new Kyurem forms (Black Kyurem and White Kyurem) are apparently new, stand alone pokemon. I'm not ready to pass judgement on it yet, at least until we get substantial information other than the new forms. But four main series games instead of the normal three seems like a cash grab by Nintendo.

Confusing: How it'll work. New protagonist? Same old protagonist? Set in the future? Happening congruently with B/W? So far, it appears GF is going into uncharted waters with this sequel.

Dumb: I find nothing dumb with it, I'm excited to see how it all plays out, despite my confusion.

It's dumb because they should have revealed that they were spending their time on Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald remakes or an actual 3rd game for Gen V that isn't two separate games. They must have been doing as much crack as Whitney Houston (HINT: A LOT OF CRACK) when they thought of this idea.


I'm not against the later generations of Pokemon but I would much rather have the remakes over a 3rd version.

The only confusing thing about this is how they are going to progress the story that they tried making a huge part (Way to big of a part in my opinion) of Black & White. I was constantly annoyed by all of the horrible characters from the Gen. V games. The Pokemon they concocted for Gen V were actually better than the horrible characters. The only good "Teams" were Team Magma and Team Aqua. I felt like while completing the main plot of the game, there was more being stopped to talk to people (forced conversations) than there was time actually playing the game. They could at least try to make the story a bit more interesting if they were going to make a 3rd version for the Gen V games, but just making sequel to a game that's ending really had no where left to go in terms of progressing the story is a bit ridiculous.

This is uncharted territory for a Pokemon game. I can't wait for more news

To add on to my previous statement.

I was just really hoping for a remake of some sort, or just something "New" brought to the table, but I'll be fair and wait for more news before I pass FULL judgment on it.

Like I said I was just a bit disappointed, but I'm actually a huge pokemon fan.

I'm really excited about this. For the first time since the series came into existence, instead of making new colours or remaking an old game, they're making a legit sequel to extend the story of the same generation. It almost makes me want to buy the games and play again.

Is this an addition, like a 3rd version or the next generation?

Seems kinda soon for Gen VI with more new Pokeymanz, but they didn't use all the mons I gave them for Gen V. I hope more show up.

I agree Ru/Sa should be remade though. They're the only ones still incompatable with D/P/G/S/B/W. Directly, I mean, you can upload them to Pal Park.

This isn't confusing or dumb. It's new and interesting.

In all fairness, the remakes come after the "3rd" game of a generation, and improves upon that formula greatly, so In 1-2 years. Most likely 2, we'll see a new Ruby and Sapphire on 3DS.

1. The below paragraph describing the only thing confusing expands on to why it is dumb but since you are most likely to lazy to go back and read something..... allow me to retype it for you in simpler terms.

They tried to rely to much on a story when the point of Pokemon has never been an intriguing story other then "Work to become Pokemon League Champion while stopping bad guys on the side", not "Only get the 8 badges to become to the pokemon league champion because the other gym leaders are trying extra hard to stop the bad guys too and while be put in the story further than they should be even though they all have the characteristics of a breadstick." The forced conversations took up more time then the actual gameplay which is pretty pathetic. Normally dealing with 1 rival is bad enough but it seems like every other step you are getting stopped by Cheren or Bianca.

Now I don't hate Gen V but let's not forget that when it comes down to it... it's a fact that more than half of the Pokemon are horrible & lazy concoctions. You want another reason this is stupid. Black and White forced you to get the main legendary of the game, so I can only imagine that if this game is following the same formula, that you will be forced in this one. For all we know it could just be the same lame-ass story with some added features. Want to know a good added feature they could make? MAKE IT FOR THE FUCKING 3DS ALREADY.

Its not a fact, its an opinion. The same thing can be said about past generations. Look at the Pokemon from the first generation without nostalgia goggles on and you'll see a lot of shit designs.

Voltorb, Grimer, Bellsprout, Geodude, Kabuto. Even the names get as weird as Gen V's names. Abracadabra Alakazam, Muk, Haunter, etc.

Every generation has trash designs and names. This isn't new



Now I didn't exactly enjoy the story in Black and White, but I'm all for a sequel. Again, this is uncharted territory for Pokemon and I can't wait to see what they do with it.

I really like the Black Kyurem and White Kyurem designs. Also, from what I understand, the mascots are the same color as the title now to represent the dots within the two sides of the Yin-Yang symbol. I imagine it's best to pick up the same color as your original Black and White due to this.

If they were going to make a direct sequel it should have been for R/B or G/S. I don't know how it would work, but as someone who hasn't played this generation, my interest is very low.

This. I completely lost interest after R/S. The pokemon became bland and boring, and the protagonists looked worse and worse.

Also, G/S had some lingering plot points from R/B, like Gary, Blaine, and Giovanni's stories, and the ability to fight Red at Mt Moon, plus the interconnecting regions. One COULD argue that G/S was a true sequel to R/B, just with a different PC

Regarding a R/S Remake:

I don't think it would be fruitful at the moment, One thing that made sense with Fr/Lg is that Gen. I and Gen. III occurred at the same time, and Gen. II and Gen. IV occurred at the same time (which is why HG/SS were released along D/P/Pt. However, Gen. V is confirmed to have occurred after the events of Gen. IV/II (hence Cynthia talking about the D/P/Pt protagonist, and a random trainer who was ex-Team Rocket in Unova).

Regarding Black/White 2:

I'm betting the story has something to do with Kyurem being merged with Zekrom/Reshiram (just look at the Kyruems). It's also been confirmed that Black Kyurem will be Black's Mascot, unlike Reshiram in Black 1.

Another thing I'm guessing is that there'll be a completely new region that connects to Unova (ala Johto in Gen. II). If this region will be West of Unova then maybe Anville town will be part of it, and the Train Station there will connect to Unova via Nimbasa City. Or if it's north, maybe the Unova Elite Four could be the same much like in GSC, and the connection to Unova would be from there. Lastly though, if there is a connection to the East, it would have to be via the ocean, and Undella Town.

2. I never said whether or not I was going to buy the game. I will decide that when more info is revealed other than the cover Pokemon and the name of the games are revealed. If there is nothing that fantastic being added, I won't buy it. The Kyurem's look decent but again, that isn't enough to have me sold on the game. Giratina's forms looked decent but that didn't make me buy Platinum right away.

3. Not regarding anything from the quoted post but the game itself - I think if they expand to another region, it should be one of the older ones as opposed to a new one. The designs of the newer regions are starting to get worse (I mean Unova was a hexagon on a string pretty much). I know Unova is supposed to be far away from the other 4 regions that have been in the games so far, but I am sure they can figure some way to travel back to one of them. I am not asking for a game where all of the regions are accessible because while I would enjoy that a lot, it just doesn't seem like something they would end up doing in my opinion.
