I got a haircut yesterday, beause my hair was a little fucked up, and i needed to cut about one centimeter or so, so that my hair can grow healthy.

Personnaly, i think it depends on your state of mind.
My hair is curly, so most of the times i prefer have it tied back with my black silk ribbon.
But there are days (mostly rainy days) that i love to have it loose.

It just depends on your mood.

Trust me get a haircut, I once had my hair to the middle of my spine in my wilder days but its not worth it , its just dead cells.

That was actually going to be my advice as well, heh. Get it cut and you don't have to deal with these issues.

let it loose, guys with long hair that flows in the wind will get girls to attract... trust me im attracted to those kinds of guys... woo!

I have neck-length wavy hair that's thick, and I just let it hang except for my bangs, which I slightly part and put under my side layers behind my ears. This way, it's still long and my bangs don't get in my eyes. I usually do it right after I get out of the shower when it's still damp, so when it dries the bangs will loosen up and not look so slicked back, but they still won't be in my eyes.

Oh and btw, I've also had people say I look like Slash.

Cut it a bit.

Actually, what you need is to cut it from time to time because the weight of your hair brings everything down and it loses volume, wave and might contribute to split ends.

I honestly don't get how guys can deal with thier hair long. I used to have my hair fairly long back in middle school when the bowl/mushroom hair cut was in style. I used to have it down to my chin. I don't get how I ever pu up with it because your hair gets so fucking greesy with it being that long. Even with daily washing. Women don't sweat as much as guys so I can understand them having long hair.

Not sure how long your hair is but as far as pony tail or let loose I'd go with it being loose. Tying it back in a pony tail looks 80's if you ask me. Depending on how long your hair is I'd say cut it too, but leave some length if you really do love it long, but it sounds like it's giving you problems than you want to deal with. I'd just cut it short

Well I'm a gal and I usually have my hair almost to my waist. It's relatively think and with a wave to it. Since the individual hairs are fine, tangles and pony tail bands are a regular *itch. I usually keep my hair in a low pony tail with a thick, metal-less band that is designed for tangle prone hair. It's actually healthier to tie your hair back that way than to leave it loose. It actually promotes hair growth and keeps hair from splitting so that when it is worn loose for say a dressy occassion or one in which I want to look extra nice. The hair is also 'trained' to stay away from the face to a certain extent.

Well, on a guy unless he's a rocker honestly I never understood why guys think they look good with long ass, messy looking hair so I'd say short. But if you DO have it long, definitely have it in a neat ponytail.

As for girls, I love it loose. Ponytail if they're working out, playing a sport.

Were a Bandana
Keep It back With sunglasses

Or you could cut your hair, but my methods work too....

You have three alternatives:

-find the extra time for additional haircare.
-ponytail it should it get in your way (not necessarily the entirety of your hair).
-trim it occasionally. I have past shoulder length hair and had an equally long (almost sorta) beard. Nothing wrong with that.

And do wash your hair twice or thrice per week. Long hair is no excuse for lack of hygiene. And the long hair is the right of kings, so sayeth the frank Merovignians.

I'd say ponytail. It keeps the hair back there, even though when you turn your head quickly or put your head down as if you're looking down, the ponytail goes over the shoulder. Kinda looks girlish...=/

But whatever you do, definitely keep your hair, giving it a little trim now and again. Also, don't forget to shampoo and condition it!

unless its a really loose ponytail tied pretty low and u got pretty long bangs... dont do ponytail... it looks quirky and awkward in general

its wierd for me, im a metal head. i LOVE metal. but i dont necessarily dress metal n shit, like yea, i got my band t-shirts n my metallica hoodies, but alot of my shirts and short's, pants, shoes represent gangster shit, lol, alot of people say i look like a typical white gangster, but with tallica shirts, lol, just cuz i wear basketball shorts, its messed.

this brings up wierdness with my hair too, its just reaching eye length now, it doesnt necessarily look good past this length while i dress the way i do, i just figure i should go all out metal. and grow my hair to my shoulders, but its wierd, i dont feel comfertable, theres this gurl ive been in love with for 3 years,

and shes like, mix between gangster dressing hottie, and a punk like attitude of wearing unique outfits, she pulls it off nice and looks totally beautiful and exotic yet mysterious at the same time, and i dont think she would have any interest in me anymore if i went all metal. so im kinda stuck... lol

do as you wish with ur hair, whatever fits you bro, il stick by you!!

Dude, mine is about halfway down my back (I'm a thrasher), and I never put it in a pony tail. To me, if you don't cut it, and just let it grow longer, your bangs will stop hitting your eyes. And if you part it, it should be out of your face.

But then, that only lasts for the day. Even if I don't wash my face/hair, the gel flakes onto my pillow and bed. But your hair is good overall.

I still love my hair though ^_^ I can't wait till it gets longer, then I can get it back to Skater style hair ^_^
