What?????????¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
buy them both, they both seem like they'll come out around the sametime and if nintendo did what they did with the cube itll be the cheapest nex-gen system so buy the revolution first to get your nex-gen kicks and wait for the ps3 to come down in price and have some decent games on it.

Yes, I have played them both and am very experienced with them, therefore I can give my opinion, in this thread, to you guys. Because I got the micro.

I"ll be buying both, but for different reasons. Which, is the entire reason they are being marketed differently. PS3 for my whorish needs, and the revo for new gameplay elements. I realy am excited about Revo, I can't wait. I just hope Nin gets some 3rd parties. If they do, we could be seeing some really bitchen stuff come from Revo.

I don't think he can get a job - he appears to be about 10 from his typing and comments. He hasn't played both by the way, he was shitting you. How could anybody know which is better yet? Hardly any info about games has been released for either.

I would say both if you can afford them. If not I would say go with the PS3. As much as I'm looking forward to the Revolution, and Nintendo's first party games, I'm scepical about it's 3rd party line-up, and how 3rd parties will utilze the controller. Nintendo alway's seems to know what to do with their systems, but their 3rd parties companies really don't with the exception of a few. So I'd go with the PS3 since you pretty much what will show up on the PS3.
If anything you could buy the PS3, and then wait 6 months for Nintendo to drop the price of the Revolution, since your more likely to see one from Nintendo than for the PS3 IMO.

Personally I'm going for the Nintendo Revolution.
Looking at the PS3, my first thought was 'What have they done!?!)'
The console is hideous and the controller looks like its taken a step back from the perfect PS2 style. PS games have never had any real lasting effect with me, I've often got bored very quickly with them.
Nintendo games last ages! The revolution controller might be a bit worrying but at least its gonna be interesting. The console itself is very attractive and will come in a number of colours ( I shall opt for red)
This is just my own opinion, you can decide yourself.

Go with PS3. Nintendo seams to be little behind Sony and Microsoft developmentally. Meaning that all the problems SONY and Microsoft have dealt with, nintendo is just discovering. Thats why I would go with PS3. Another thing you can do is wait about a month after each is released, and see what people say.

PS3 looks much better than Revolution in every aspect.

What development problems? Nin has always, always been 3rd party anal, that's just them - though, yeah, kinda retarded. They've been in the console VG business for two decades, I doubt there's much they haven't ran into.
Revo is just a different market, a different demographic. Nin caters to a different market, period. But, yeah, if both systems have a close release date, just wait and do some research. I personally think either system is going to fucking own. Revo will have, supposedly, Mario 128, Metroid and another SSBM at launch. Add in Zelda, ALL generations of Nintendo for dl, the new interactivity possibilities and shit "could" be gold.
PS3 is just a beast, output wise, pure and simple. It's on, or will be, on another level visually. Though, aesthetics aren't all about HD, normal mapping and 1024 textures. A lot is to be said for pure artistic direction and composition. Threre are DC games that look amazing, on an art direction level. ICO is still beautifull beyond belief, and that was a first gen PS2 title, which was actually supposed to be a last gen PS1, but was ported.
Meh, either way, gaming is looking fucking awasome at the moment!!!

As for my choice... Im die hard Nintendo, just the influence that the company can have on the developers is enormous, as far as I know Nintendo games are CLASSIC in every sense of the term and since Im not into the aesthetic aspect of developing just having "pretty visuals" doesnt make a game fun(catwoman*shudder*) my choice is the Revolution, fuck all that crap about being behind in development when they've more experience in the field than the competitors they make gaming entertainment systems, not multi media units...

Add to the fact that the Revolution will have 20 years of back catalogue classic nintendo games all given a nip/tuck.
Imagine it, Banjo Kazooie relived on the Revolution.....drool....
