PS3 or Nintendo Revolution?

im gonna get all three, in time - money doesn't grow on trees, unfortunately.
I'd like to get the xbox360 mainly because i liked the original xbox.
Same deal for ps3.
As for the revolution, i'll get it because for one i like the gc, and i am and always will be a fan of nintendo first and foremost.

Dumb... Just... Dumb. You do know that SONY came out with the "vibrating-controller" first? It was released in Japan in late 1995 called "Dual-Analog" and re-released in the US as the Dual-Shock we know today.

Question:
Did the NED come out before or after the NES?

No, it was not. SONY manufactured the Dual-Analog controller WITH the vibrating feature in 1995, released to the public in 1996 (which was when Nintendo began making their Rumble-Paks). In 1997 (when Nintendo released the Rumble-Paks to the public) SONY remade their Dual-Analog controller and dubbed it the Dual-Shock controller, and they re-released it in Japan, then in May 1998, they were released to the US.
But, if you think all the bullshit about SONY stealing the rumble feature from Nintendo, go ahead, whatever, I guess...

Its a different bal game all together.
Also remember the 360 is runnin at only 10% of wat it is capable of.
As for the revo :S
its going to change the way we play games.. for the better - worst, time will tell.
All i can say is the controller is wacked, and the little joystick thing.. silly..
butttttttttt it could work... one thing is for certain, it aint going to be as pretty graphically as the 360 or ps3.

Well, Playstation has always been the first console I get. So I trust that PS3 is going to be better then PS2. I have to admit, the look is a bit blah, but the look doesn't matter to me, it's how the game system holds up. However, there are ao many features that come with the PS3. Like, you can hook it up to two, Plasma Screen TV's and be able to play on two different screens. They are finally going to put built in memory in it. Four player hook ups. And much much more.
|~|~|~|__Xbox360__|~|~|~|
Xbox made a good impact with it's first console. But the controller was bad in the first one. On the 360, they have a more good feel to the controller, than the last one. I haven't really got to hear about all the features yet, but I'll tell you what I have heard of it. So far, on the news, It has completely shutdown games, that are just bought. It freezes up. And is getting sewed by alot of people, ALREADY?...... So I don't know if I will be getting the Xbox360, not until they fix there problems.

Ah yes, the Revolution will be probaly the first I get. I'm getting back into my Mario games, and I want the Revolution. The Revolution is probaly the best looking one so far. And I think Revolution is going to go Online..... But I'll mainly get the Revolution for the Mario games I can't get on PS3 and Xbox360.

I'll get them in order like this.
PS3--I trust sony more then any other company.
Nintendo Revolution--I have always been a Nintendo fan, till the end.
Xbox360-- It's Xbox's second console, and I have more trust in the other two. ( they have been in the game longer.)
I'll just say what I think of the new consoles, out and up coming.

Well if you think about it, Xbox360 came out way before it's time. Microsoft was concered about beating PS3. So while Xbox was in a hurry, PS3 had and still has more time to Check to see if there are any mistakes. The same with Revolution.

While we can all agree that the 360 has been plagued with a bunch of problems, those (not thinking about anybody specifically) that think that the PS3 and/or Revolution will be problem-free simply because they've had more time are mistaken.

I'll give a little chuckle for each of those titles that DOESN'T make launch, starting with MGS4, since Kojima himself said it's a long way off, and MGS trailers often debut at least a year or 2 before the final product hits shelves (seeing as how PS3 is scheduled for Spring 2006 release - less than 6 months away)
*chuckle*
Also, seeing as how Final Fantasy X!! is just about to come out, I can say without a doubt that the next installment won't be out that soon. FF titles have NEVER had sequels come out less than 6 months apart, and I don't see it happening now, especially since we've seen NOTHING beyond FFXII.
*chuckle*
I'd also like to see a link the official press release Sony made that had all these titles listed as confirmed for launch.
Unless Sony is planning on delaying the system launch until around mid/late 2007, I heavily question the authenticity of this launch list. Of course, I'm willing to eat my words if I'm proven wrong...

How is this thread even allowed? Its basically a console war now!
I think I'll do what DragonEnergy did.
[[ XBox 360 ]]
I have the old XBox and I loved it....for a while...but it really began to bore me, every game I bought I got bored of very quickly. Even Halo 1 which kept me occupied for a week and Halo 2 which gave me 2 days, both great games but no longetivity and once you've done theres no going back. Online gaming I myself havn't been able to try out yet because broadband isn't available in my area yet, when it is I'll be able to go back to my X-box but I don't know for how long. Alright controller, though easily breakable, the console itself was far to big and heavy but overall it was nice. Now the 360 is out and apart from graphics and console design it looks pretty much the same thing. Uninteresting launch titles. Perfect Dark kinda looks interesting but I'm not buying a console for one game. Especially when its this overpriced.
[[ PS3 ]]
Sony have done a good job with the Playstation, its been great, the PS1 and PS2, the design has improved immensly since the PS1. Until the 3rd console. I hate to admit it but 'What the fuck is that supposed to be?' And what have they done to Sony's Perfect Controler?!? Now, looks aside, the console is set to be the most powerful one of the upcoming 3. Thats good! PS has always had great games that have lasted a long time (Tomb Raider anyone?) And its always been at a good price. Until now. I'm sorry to say the Sony have dissapointed me the most of the 3.
[[ Nintendo Revolution ]]
Nintendo is the only console which hasn't let me down. To this day I still play all my old SNES, N64 and GC games. True gaming gems, like Yoshis Island on the SNES, Mario 64 on the N64 and Mario Kart Double Dash on the GC, but the list goes on and on and on and on, and then on a shit load more. Nintendo games have this kind of hold on you, you can play them for ages and they're always fun. Another thing I've noticed is that Nintendo's controllers are durable. My XBox controller broke the day I got and I've had about 3 since then which was last year, I've had the same controller I got with GC for 3 years. I love how comfortable it is. Now the Revolution controller scared me at first but now I'm really excited about it! I can't wait, and if it doesn't work out, I can use my GC controller (I hear you can do that with it) The console itself is very sexy looking. And very small which is good too. So far I'm looking forward to this one the most. And its set to be cheap too!

Yeh respect to you dude, Like i said earlier Blue ray can present some big risks.. Sony need to be absolutly perfect to the pinch to be able to release a glitch free system.
Also the revolution will have its troubles. I can imagine the difficulty in programming games for the new controller.
Although one thing people look past is that the 360 has pretty much the same power as a ps3 and is already on the market. (well not the same power but just about) The only main difference is the storage capacity of games on disks..
Also the fact that microsoft have mastered online puts another stand in their corner.

Huh. A simlple question of which console peeps are going to get turns into a console war. Sorry this thread flew under the radar.
However, to answer the question, I'm gettin' the Revolution first. I'll wait a year for SONY to fix all the DNR and any other issues the PS3 will surely have when it first comes out before I buy one.
