I take it you're into KRS-ONE lol. Hip-Hop can be a lifestyle or just something you're into to which goes under rapping, tagging, breaking,DJing,or just listening and participating in these things. Rap is something rappers do, and rap music is something rappers make which can also be labeled as hip-hop or hip-hop music/genre. If someone says their into hip-hop it's like saying they're into rap. So rap and hip-hop are basically the SAME thing, no need to seperate the two and act like you're smarter than everyone else. Next time think for YOURSELF and don't let some old rappers tell you how to.

marval, Rap and Hip-Hop are interchangable words for the most part. You can't break them up, but you can specify what kind you favor. For example, you could say that you favor the kind of hip-hop that Common does over the kind that RZA does.

The best rap album ever released was 2 Pac's "All eyez on me". The guy was simply amazing and he really put his soul into his music not like many of today's sell-outs (Jay-Z anyone?). Snoop's old shit was also good, and A Tribe Called Quest are also legends of hip-hop. As for today Eminem just owns them all, coz no matter what anyone else does his shit creates the most impact everywhere in the world and even if you don't like him you have to agree with me (well maybe lol). Have a look at the special features on the 8 Mile DVD Em's talent is just off the hook!!!! And i think he'll be coming back for more untill he gets shot as well tongue

Alright no one flame me here lol. I dont see how biggie and tupac were considered great rappers? they kind of sucked in my opinion the only rap i like is old NWA and Wu-Tang

I agree with you about 2pac he's overated. But I like some of his songs though. The only reason people consider him great is because he's dead.Biggie is a little diffrent,he was ALREADY considered great when he was alive. The only stuff I listen to is old rap music(80's-early to mid 90's).I like Rock a little better now. It's a nice Alternative.

Because he's dead? What about Eazy-E, he died and hardly anyone considers him a legend. Let me just spit some facts about Pacs music, and how what you said is more ignorance than anything else. Tupac made sure to relate to EVERYONE and EVEYTHING(that I can think of) in his songs. Mothers,Daughters,Teens,Adults,Racism,Love,Sex,Drugs,Violence,Gang life,Infedility,Suicide,Government,Judicial System,Neglect,Self-Esteem,Clubs,etc. The list goes on, depending on how you take the message of his music. But those are the primary ones he delt with(there might be more). Now tell me how many rappers could talk about all of that, be succesful in the least bit and have respect from 60 year old women to 34 year old prison inmates back to some 45 year old civil rights leaders. Even college proffesors study Tupac like his music was the bible. Many people consider him the black jesus, SERIOUSLY(not me). Not only that, but he was the FIRST to talk about probably every human emotion that I know of. He spoke from his heart on numerous songs, how many rappers can do that now and not be somehow depicted as a Pac imitator. He was the FIRST, that's why he's so special. Even people whod on't like Pac still have a favorite Pac song, much like yourself. Not everyone is gonna like ALL of his music, but someone is most likely gonna like atleast one of his songs. Now again, how many artists out now can honestly have that effect on you. That you hate some of their stuff but love the other stuff they put out. There's a reason you still see all his albums out in shelves, he spit his emotions and that's a universal thing. I just don't think people considered him a legend because he died, he did many things before his death and created alot of music from what he felt. Sorry if it was too long, but it's hard to explain this without going over a little bit.

Yeah,Eazy-E NEVER gets reconignition(Sp?) at all.He was a pioneer of Gangsta rap.I guess it was the way he died too.If you get shot people cry over you when you die of a disease people say it's your fault.I say the same should go for getting shot.2pac could've prevented that from happening if he didn't keep his mouth shut. That was one of 2pac's MAIN problems he had diarreah(sp again?) of the mouth.2pac was okay but he is overated.I hate the way his mom wants people to feel sorry for her.

Who cares about how they died, why are you focusing so much on their deaths and what happened after. Focus on what they did when they were alive.

I don't see how Afeni makes people feel sorry for her, she was apart of the Tupac:Ressurection movie, but Tupac wanted that movie to be made. You sound like you have some sort of Vendetta against Pac or something, let it go people like him the end.

After 2pac died she came out and said "All he left in his bank account was 50 cents".I know thats a lie.Like I said 2pac was alright but I hated the way he ran his mouth sooooooooooo much.He started so much crap with everybody over dumb stuff.

Jay-Z
Mobb Deep
P.Diddy
Biggie
Faith
The Fugees(I agree with 2pac this time,THEY SUCKED!)
Nas(Maybe 2pac was right Nas went down after his 1st cd)
And pretty much EVERY other East Coast rapper.

The thing is I hate the people who claim they "loved" 2pac so much when he was alive.Im talking about rappers he dissed that claimed they loved him so much.Like Jay-Z,Nas,and Wyclef.Their only using him for money. That's ONE of the main reasons why Mobb Deep are my fav rappers. They don't kiss up to people like the majoirty of rappers do.

What? LOL

So that is justification to say that she wanted attention, for something she said that might've been true. I think you're taking that a little too serious, that's not very valid but think as you wish. And one of the attributes you like about Mobb Deep is that they don't "kiss up" to other people. Mobb Deep kisses up to mobsters like capone and tony montana, everyone has someone they look up to.

I think he meant living/real people that they would have actually had contact with at some point. Not people they respect.

ROTFL, you've got good taste... only one i disagree on is Shyne... and Nas is alright, he was tight back in the day but in his whole career he made one hot album IMO, and that was Illmatic
