In your opinion, what are the greatest rappers to of the past, nowadays, and your favourites upcoming?
Based on
1.Raw Rhyming Skill
2.Records
3.Expierence
4.Flow
5.Beats
I'm not sure about the past, but I think in the present, it would be Royce... or... Big Pun... but he is no longer with us. Nas, Immortal Technique (Dance with the Devil, the Cause of Death) or Royce would take it now a days...
Also, greatest DJ. Thre's Green Lantern, Kayslay, DJ Whoo Kid... those are just the more known ones.
If you DON'T like rap, and have nothing Positive to say, please don't post.

I agree with you about 2pac he's overated. But I like some of his songs though. The only reason people consider him great is because he's dead.Biggie is a little diffrent,he was ALREADY considered great when he was alive. The only stuff I listen to is old rap music(80's-early to mid 90's).I like Rock a little better now. It's a nice Alternative.

Every rapper wants to be him because whatever his mom puts out makes money.Let me break it down:
Eminem:Yes,he does try to sound like 2Pac sometime.
Ja Rule:ONCE,he was a great rapper then after he made Put It On Me he went down.
50 Cent:50 Cent is diffrent than 2pac.Better IMO.
Jay-Z:???Jay-Z is a SELL OUT.His 1st CD was his best.

Regardless of what you think about Tupac it would prove useless to negate his legend because all of his fans on this board would just think less of your opinion. The only reason I could think of that would make you knock someone else's personal preference is to appease your own.
Past: Tupac, Biggie, Eazy E, Wu Tang, and Run DMC
Present: Young Buck(Stuff like Prices on my Head, Sleep With an AK, Bang Bang, basically the stuff you dont hear on the radio. Yet.), Kanye West, Mobb Deep, Nas, Jadakiss, Eminem, and all of D-Block(Styles P... Sheek Louche... Jae Hood... All them lol)
Future: Eminem, Akon, Jadakiss, Young Buck, and Kanye West.
That's just some...

Past - Pac, Biggie, and Big L (Jay-z now that he's done too)
Present - Cam'ron, D-Block (LOX, jae hood), Kanye West, NAS, Mos Def, Em, Royce, Wu, Cannibus (come backkkkkkk)
Future - Me
Edit - I seen the conversation above. Biggie and Pac were great on the mic. At the time, they were Alpha and Omega, and ppl were goin nuts. They both had a story to tell and a wild ass way of doing it. The battle between the two makes Jay Z/Nas look like shit. People died over this feud.
Something else that disturbs me. I'm a Jay-Z fan, and I'm a Nas fan. But, neither one of them have any business using Pac beats or sayin his name like they do. Pac hated Jay-z and they beefed back in the days of Hawaiian Sophie. Now Jay Z and his gf use a Pac beat? No. That's not right.
Another thing, not that I know or I'm correct, but imo, I can't believe 50cent will ever be better then 2pac. Pac brought all the shit 50 raps about to the table.

D12 is quite possibly the worst Rap Group out there. The only one with talen enough to maake it big, is Swifty. And he wasn't in it in the first place. If Eminem wasn't in it, they wouldn't have made it big, at all.

i dont like much rap but some of the rappers i do like are eminem, snoop, NWA, and Afroman. I think most of the rappers that are listed as the greatest are overrated like 2pac and B.I.G.

Well if you dont care for much rap then you really have no place in critiquing it. Dont get me wrong, you have the right to an opinion but that doesn't increase it's validity.

Because he's dead? What about Eazy-E, he died and hardly anyone considers him a legend. Let me just spit some facts about Pacs music, and how what you said is more ignorance than anything else. Tupac made sure to relate to EVERYONE and EVEYTHING(that I can think of) in his songs. Mothers,Daughters,Teens,Adults,Racism,Love,Sex,Drugs,Violence,Gang life,Infedility,Suicide,Government,Judicial System,Neglect,Self-Esteem,Clubs,etc. The list goes on, depending on how you take the message of his music. But those are the primary ones he delt with(there might be more). Now tell me how many rappers could talk about all of that, be succesful in the least bit and have respect from 60 year old women to 34 year old prison inmates back to some 45 year old civil rights leaders. Even college proffesors study Tupac like his music was the bible. Many people consider him the black jesus, SERIOUSLY(not me). Not only that, but he was the FIRST to talk about probably every human emotion that I know of. He spoke from his heart on numerous songs, how many rappers can do that now and not be somehow depicted as a Pac imitator. He was the FIRST, that's why he's so special. Even people whod on't like Pac still have a favorite Pac song, much like yourself. Not everyone is gonna like ALL of his music, but someone is most likely gonna like atleast one of his songs. Now again, how many artists out now can honestly have that effect on you. That you hate some of their stuff but love the other stuff they put out. There's a reason you still see all his albums out in shelves, he spit his emotions and that's a universal thing. I just don't think people considered him a legend because he died, he did many things before his death and created alot of music from what he felt. Sorry if it was too long, but it's hard to explain this without going over a little bit.
