I 100% agree with you. I'm a HUGE Nintendo freak, Nintendo is awesome and is one of the best systems ever.

game boy is about the only thing i can stand of nintendo, (not really, im just a bit spiff after what they tried to do to sony, heh, never fuck with a huge company).

I'm afraid you're very much wrong. The small handful of games that aren't kiddy don't even come close to balancing/knocking out the the rest [of the games] to make Nintendo a non-kiddy company. The violent to kiddy ratio is like 1:50. Sorry, Nintendo has been tatooed a rep that they're a kiddy company.

The z button that you mentioned was a digital button, not analog like that is found on the Xbox. I have big hands and prefer the larger controller actually.

The snes was not the first system to have four buttons on the front, the NeoGeo had it years before. And the 3DO came out in the same year as the Snes and it had 2 triggers. The same year as the snes launch sega came up with the 6 button controller for fighting games. So the 'revolution' really didn't amount to much.

The original Resident Evil came out on the Sega Saturn. Which I have.

Finally Nintendo has admitted that they were losing to Sega's Genesis before their Snes came out. Nintendo actually wanted to live off of the NES fame for another 5 years. If Sega hadn't intervened they wouldn't have released it ahead of schedule. After their success of the Snes and NES they released the Virtual Boy that lost money was pulled before it had a chance to evolve, and even got the hardware maker fired (he made the original gameboy, nes, and snes systems). He subsequently shot himself later that year.

When the N64 debuted it flopped in Japan Europe, and the US. The US appeal to it didn't mount until halfway through its lifecycle. And as for innovation, they are the last system to switch to a disc based system. They decided on cartridge when it came to the N64 because they said that there wasn't enough of a market for cd based systems.

As for not being a kiddy market, they are the same company that Demanded an edited version of MK, and succumbed to the masses after poor sales to the Sega Genesis. They also are known as a conservative company when it comes to their stock portfolio.

Now don't confuse this with thinking that I don't like Nintendo. But before anyone banters about a topic, they should know what they are talking about.

I love Snes that is 1 of the best systems of all time, it sure was the best of its time. But as nintendo 64 came out it started to die out a little compared to ps1 and then i dont think gamecube even compared to ps2 or xbox. Nintendo had their good times, but they couldnt stay on top forever. I do give it much respect though

You lost me when you called it "SuXBox", which was quite uncalled for, especially in a thread that centers around "respect".
