Which one is better? Since i've never really played any Metal Gear Solid games, i'd have to say I like Fisher better.

Sam should retire cause there is none better than snake. i dont find pandora tommorow all that great. the online is awsome if you only go by that, but single player is kinda dull, especially compared to metal gear. i cant wait for snake eater

Solid Snake. There's really no question in my mind about this one, especially after having played both games. Solid Snake is truely the master of stealth and seems to get himself involved in better storylines as well. :)
I guess it's my Metal Gear Solid bias, but my preference is Solid Snake.

One thing I'll say is "You need to play the whole MGS series, now.
I played through it before I got Splinter Cell, and I'll say that it does copy alot of things from movies, but nobody seems to notice?
I like Solid Snake a whole lot better than Sam, I'll tell you that *and I'm an Xbox fan, lol*. Once you've played through MGS 1 & 2 with him I'm sure you'll agree. He seems more experienced, and more of a true hero, instead of one that's all patriotic and all that bs.

Sam. Micheal Ironside really adds that extra touch that makes it all the more real. Plus he's a badass.

Solid Snake. He's got the cardboard box on his side, afterall! And infinite Ammo
Fisher don't stand a chance against those ^_^

Snake is the man - why the hell did they bring Raiden into MGS?
Okay Let's look at the facts:
Snake has been badass since the very first metal gear. His voice actor is awesome. He has beaten Grey Fox several times. While Sam faces real life enemies, realistically, snake makes short work of the world's most advanced tank (M1), and has on 3 seperate ocassions, Blown up giant robots. Also, the redone cutscenes in Twin Snakes prove that he is the one, not Neo.
PS: Who thinks the voice acting in Twin Snakes is worse than the original MGS?

Yes, someone noticed, besides me! I listened to it over the phone, and my friend being a nintendo fanboy, was speechless when I made remarks. I was all like "Ocelot sounds like a decrepped fagget when he gets shot!?" My friend-"..." I thought it sounded gay over the phone, but that's nintendo for ya, and I also don't like the graphics as much, even though they're smoother????

I like Snake better than Sam, but I don't see how you can say that Snake is the "Master of Stealth." I mean Splinter Cell is completely based around stealth, PERIOD. Just because Snake has a suit that makes him completely invisible doesn't make him the master of stealth. Sam is ten times stealthier, but I still like Snake more.

Sam's my man. Michael Ironside has been playing and voicing interesting characters his enitre carrer and this is some of his best work. There's actually a personallity there when an experinced actor of Ironside's calibur voices a character instead of people who only find their acting niche in voiceing games. Actors who voice while still thinking as though they are in front of the camera ghave more confidence in delivering lines and getting used to their characters than the no talent bums who we hear in every game.
I also think that Splinter Cell has a steep learning curve where MGS is pretty easy to figure out. I want a more intuative challenge and Spinter Cell does it, at least for me.

I completely agree about Fisher being alot stealthier. But I like Fisher better than Snake, like I said above, because I haven't played any MGS games much. I think even if I do, I still might like Fisher better, because Michael Ironside does a great at voicing him, really adds to the character, and I just like the atmosphere of the Splinter Cell games. I'm used to it

Play and find out, you'll like Snake better man, there's no way out, but to lie. heheh
It said in the interview Raiden was an important part in the whole MGS2 story line, but I think they could have done with out him.
Snake is the man, no question, biologically engineered super soldier with almost no emotion, or old man... hmm. Well, can't wait for Snake Eater to come out. David Hayter has a badass voice. And yeah, I do think there were a couple of parts in the voice acting that weren't as good as in the original, like when he's telling Meryl to shoot the gaurds, he sounds too calm, in the other one he's like, spazzing out.
