Seeing the Video I am highly squeamish and offended.

The only negative thing about such badass trailers like those 2 is that you get expectations too big to be matched when you actually see the movie.

The most recent example of this (IMO) is with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." I'm not saying the movie was bad, just not as good as I expected it to be.

Ive been following the production of Saw since last year through Bloody Disgusting and when it debuted at some film festivals this year it got really high praise, especitally from Mr. Disgusting... probably the theatrical version will be rated R then the dvd version will be Unrated...

I saw this about a month and a half ago (the first one). Besides the fact that the little doll with the mask looks completely unthreatening, it looked cool up until the the "HOW... FUCKED UP... IS THAT?" came up. Complete cheese.

I'll still check it out though. That headgear the chick is wearing is wicked.
EDIT - Just saw the newest one. Definitely not seeing this movie now. Besides the fact that I don't find torture the least bit amusing in any form, they're using that asinine "HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT?" tagline on all of their previews.
It'll still be considered a masterpiece by horror movie standards, though.

I know I may annoy a few people with my following remarks, but I have to say it.

I too am probably not going to watch this. Unlike Hyuga though it's over the type of horror movie it is. I don't find gorey movies entertaining anymore, at all. Yeah I agree that's a really cheesy line, but the whole genre is cheesy in my opinion. To me gore movies are just attempts at reliving the 80's slasher horrors or to make money off of the easily amused (not acusing anyone here of the latter). This movie just feels like someone took the most graphic moments from the movie Se7en(a great suspense flick) and added that tagline "How fucked up is that".

Just a side note, I'm really obssesed with movies, and over the years my opinions have hardened, making it very hard for me to be pleased by that many movies. I never mean to come off sounding like a dick, but sometimes I can't help it.

I know horror movies aren't as good as they used 2 be (Jaws, Exorcist,Freddy..), but they're getting better lately (no more Scream/IKnow..). I'm highly optimistic about this one.

Trust me you aren't missing much. The site goes down a lot around 5pm eastern time. Today the member count reached somewhere in the 50s. Every other page you'd click on would have sent you to the "Server Busy" page. It's a mess these days.
