MUCH better quality. I don't think that's Anna, that's some random blond chick lol. I'm starting to think there is a new 'stab' movie and Anna and Kristen play in it because that one scene they're in is the only time we see them. But that blond girl is the one who is hanging because she's wearing the same boots when she's thrown through the glass door. Awesome find, I haven't seen that trailer yet!

You're correct, it's not Anna. The girl in the gray sweater is Brittany Robertson. Her and Aimee Teegarden are the opening victims. And if you look hard enough you can also see Aimee's dead body sitting in a chair in the left corner of the image.

I'm looking in the left corner, but I don't see her lol. Behind Dewey?

Yes, you can see her clearly in the hi-res version they just released wearing the same pink shirt and black pants she wore in the TV spot-http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/gallery/images/925/19.jpg
Behind Dewey. I see duck tape too, like she was taped to the chair ala Steve in the original.

Please don't start with me. Your little comment wasn't needed. But thanks for the link.
I must be because I've been looking for that thread lol. Though I think you might have a bigger problem if it's going to kill you if someone does not link a site *especially on a thread you don't frequent*.
But the clips look good! I already know it's not the ex, it can't be! I wonder who it is...
It's looking ok from what I've seen of it. I think I'll see it no matter what..but it's better that it doesn't look like it's going to be that bad.
Couple of things on my mind about it though:
Really, REALLY hoping that they don't go the predictable route and make Sid the killer in this. Seriously it's what most people are expecting and it's just a dumb idea IMO. I think each of her survivals has made the character stronger (not closer to snapping mentally) I mean c'mon.. in the last movie she was more annoyed than anything else. Didn't even seem genuinely scared (except for the bits where her mom was concerned and that's understandable.) So why would she go insane and turn psycho now?
Infact.. I'm thinking that Sid should definitely die this time around. She's had a great run. However, she's dodged the bullet on this more times than anyone could hope for lol. I think her time should definitely be up.
PS: Really want Gail and Dewey to survive.. however I guess these guys do fall into the same boat as Sid so... fair game. Especially Dewey.. there's no logical reason that dude should be alive right now.

Can't help but wonder if that wouldn't be the best for everybody...

I think making Sid the killer is only obvious from the perspective that the movie is going to clearly be very (self-)aware of -- ie; Saw. I think it's a lot more conventionally obvious to kill off the 'has-been' characters -- a time honored tradition of a genre that's spawned many-a sequel.
Scream juggles a lot of perspectives and has always done it very well.
I think these characters have been an important part of that, even if it grinds against some of the other ideas at work. I think it's inevitable we'll lose someone -- the superfluous nature of these actors and characters to a contemporary audience, and how those attitudes can be reflected and parodied -- cannot be overlooked! It'd be a heckuva a shame to whipe them all out in one fell swoop, though. Especially your key throughline!
I don't think Scream can say much about the state of the genre without keeping it's throughline. Maybe Sidney bites it in the third, if you believe the rumors about an intended second trilogy. Maybe she's even the killer in number six! Whatever happens, I think they need the grounding of those old characters, to keep the series intrinsically relevant (to itself), and to have the inherent perspective of characters who've come from a time before the 'torture porn' wave.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Just reading all those forums and rumors about the whole thing aggravated me. Not so much because they wanted her to be the killer.. it's the reason they used to rationalize such a theory: "Sidney finally snapped and couldn't cope with all that's happened to her. This caused her to become unhinged and turned her into a psycho." I have a severe problem with this thought process. The character of Sidney is by no means weak (mentally or physically). She's a survivor in every sense of the word. Through all three films the character only got stronger and more able to handle herself. Now all of the sudden she's going to have a breakdown and slip into insanity? Become the thing that's stalked her for so long? I don't buy it. /rant.
Moving on now... I agree that they have to keep at least one of the surviving vets around (if this is going to be a new Trilogy.) If it is only one, I'm hoping for Gale. Of the three she's the most interesting and definitely the most entertaining to watch.

Ultimately, as disappointing as these lazy, unimaginative, post-Saw thought processes are, they're exactly the kind of 'progress' that made the world ready for another Scream. Without these kinds of nonsensical new tropes permeating the genre, the films probably wouldn't have much to say. Nothing relevant, at least. They already turned in on themselves with 2 and 3, to varying degrees. Not a lot of places to go, after that.
Granted, making the victim the killer wouldn't be wholely unique to today, but I think the fact that it's become par for the course to the point of mindless acceptance is exactly why it won't happen. Not with the old gang, at least. The first two Screams had the killers blame the movies in the name of the pending millenium and well meaning, concerned social commentary up to that point. Now that we've crossed the threshold of reason and millenium, those attitudes are canonized fact, and the backstory is irrelevant to today's accepting and blissfully ignorant audience [see; QueenSindel(etc)'s seemingly unironic complaint about cliches; interest to watch Scream only for elaborate kills].
It stands to reason the next killer's only motivation will be the existence of killers. There could be layers to that idea -- namely the YouTube generation's unwitting deconstruction of fame and talent -- but it's really that simple. A fact that comes full circle, to some degree, if you remember Billy Loomis' point about the lack of motive being far scarier. It's the serial killing equivalent of happy slapping and filmed school yard brawls, which began with some sort of feud, but can now exist only because they already have.
We could've guessed, even before the trailers, that streaming live feeds and web hosting would replace Mickey's videotapes and the cloned cellphones of the nineties. Killing in the name of social networking and/or because there are killers, is a no brainer, and with Sidney in tact, we can have a good long look at what that and other things have done to the genre, from the distance of more enlightened times.
With any luck, Scream 4 will do as the first film did, and kickstart some much needed internal reflection from the film makers and audience both. Hollywood's never needed it more!
Neither has MKO, given the recent Rebirth fiasco that reminded us this degeneration is a widespread phenomenon...
Can't really argue with any of that. I agree with all of it.
Still, just once I wish it would be a theory with just a little more thought behind it. Not just the first predictable thing that came to mind.
But then, what is the internet for if not bullshit theories and mindless shenanigans?
I'll tell you this much though: If Sid, Dewey or Gale turn out to the be the killer (or one of the killers as it were) in this movie.... I won't bother with the other two films.
Just to confirm: Are we positive that Roman didn't have a partner in Scream 3?

I think we are! lol...usually at the end, like the first 2, the killers are brought together in front of Sidney in a final showdown. In the 3rd one it was just her and Roman in the theater. Anyway I'm so excited for this movie to come out!!! Gonna go see it with my friends for my birthday!
