I just rewatched Scream 2 and 3. I am ready for the sequel!

I also heard MONTHS ago Jamie Kennedy is in this one at some party somewhere in the background. Whoever spots him first when the movie is released get's one internet cookie.

Personally I think the killer is gonna be Sidney. She finally went crazy.

But still I'm gonna watch scream again than this movie mostly cause scream was my favorite movie back in the day.

Film is out in the states tomorrow! Has been getting some pretty good reviews thus far!

Scream 4 is fresh, smart, and twisted!

An encouraging, if expected review. A lot of the discussion in this thread was speculatively aimed at the same eventuality. I think it says about a winning formula that's so good, it'd have to be exceptional to disappoint. The trailer should say enough to give any interested party a reason to check it out optemistically. I'm probably resigned to DVD (maybe Scream 2 scared me away from theatres -- or was that all the trash Scream 4 bucks against?), but I'll look forward to seeing discussion from MKO posters who check it out. Remember those spoiler tags if you do!

From the sad but true file: regardless of how loudly or convincingly Scream 4 bucks against lazy Hollywood remakes, can't help but think it just isn't the right era to expect Scream to change the course of the movies (again). Maybe Scream 5 will find fodder in a willingly ignorant industry/audience, if it hasn't already made a meal of it in Scream 4. Somehow, I think that's a well that will provide plenty more material for a sequel or two.

so it was good and not a money grab? i loved the first 2 screams but 3 kinda ruined the story for me.

Everyone feels that way about 3. You're not alone in that. I just watched S3 a few minutes ago. Should be easier for S4 to please me now. lol

ill give scream 4 a chance then because if this ends up like saw then forget it. i only saw the first 2 saw films because to me real horror films are being whored out.

Just saw it! Wow, that shit was crazy! I went in knowing some spoilers but was STILL knocked out of my mind! Scream 4 IS NOT FOR EVERYONE, but I enjoyed it! Sure, I felt like the "reunion" of Dewey, Gale, & Sidney could've been expanded upon and that we could've spent more time "catching up", but the film is pretty good. It has it's flaws, boy does it, but it's still an entertaining watch.

Don't go in expecting anything groundbreaking. Just be ready for a thrill ride and I'm sure you'll love it!

And yes, waaaay better than 3.

Roman's just that good. Scream 3 is kind of underrated I think. I thought it had a lot of nice elements and wrapped up the story very well, the ending was especially well done.

I really enjoyed it. I thought the false start was pretty good. I liked how the characters continued to go into the “movie rules” thing. I missed Jamie Kennedy’s Randy character. I won’t spoil anything but my favorite line was when Sidney said something like “Rule number one about the remake. Don’t FUCK with the original.” And I couldn’t have said it better myself!

I enjoyed seeing all the characters again.But seeing a whole new generation of teens getting attacked was a little surreal to me. Especially with the earlier ones it seemed to be filled with 90s stars that we saw on TV all the time. And I liked how they acknowledged the earlier films. And seeing a scene from the first movies ending being re-enacted in a way was like a hit of nostalgia.

I really enjoyed it. And will probably see it again.

Just got home from seeing it along with Rio. I know most of you guys liked it but Scream 4 sucked imo. Kills were lame and the acting was even worse. Rio was better lol

This movie is, as usual, completely forgettable and pretentious.


Scream movies did not reinvent horror. They referenced other horror movies, and instead of one they had two killers in the first. This was no innovation. And referencing better movies in your shitty one. And it does not amount to a parody either. Not even satire.



And this, this is the worst.

Oh please, Roman was a killer straight from a 14 year old's fanfiction. An omnipresent super ninja who blows up houses. He couldn't have done all of that by himself. I refuse to believe it.
