hmmm, I didnt even know it was on. I love the Simps, and I watch the re runs alot, but I dont keep track of their new episodes.

Dosen't matter. I still love the old episodes, but this season has sucked big time.

I saw it, but I didn't know it was the season finale. It was decent for a new episode, it was pretty politically-oriented, which I like since I have an interest in politics. WHat sucks is, the basic plot has already been visited: Mr. Burns vs. Lisa (in the episode Old Man and the Lisa from season 8), although in the new episode it's about the media, rather than the environment.

It was okay.They need to put more work into The Simpsons again.Especially now there going to have alot of competition if the new Family Guy gets popular.American Dad is coming next year after The Super Bowl.So it's time to step up and get back on there A-game like they were in the 90's.

It's not as simple as "they need to make it like the classic episodes again." The Simpsons has different writers now than they did back then; a writer can be influenced by another writer's work, but every decent writer has a unique style. Writing of any kind, whether it's a novel or for a TV show, is an art; to copy someone else's style is artistically dishonest, and usually almost everyone can see through it.

Maybe thats why The Simpson hasnt been that good lately.The new episodes are okay but they dont have that feel that the old ones do.But like you said they have new writers.

I agree that the simpsons arn't has good as they use to be. But I still find myself laughing alot while watching the new episodes, So its still funny IMO.

No competition there, since they're on the same network. I do agree that the Simpsons need some major work to get back as the great cartoon it once was. It really went downhill since Phil Hartman (the voice of Lionel Hutz, Troy McLure, and various others) died.

Sure no competition for the network. But to us... competition to which is a better show.

Well the Simpsons used to be the best tv show on. But then around 5 years ago everything went down hill. They changed the writers (but they did that all the time in the golden years too) and they are just not consistently funny anymore. The heyday was around 95 when Conan O'Brien was writing for them, like the episode where Homer goes to college, or the one where the Simpsons move to Cypress Creek. Those were hilarious. Unfortunately the writers are lame now, and they include a few Canadian's - BIG MISTAKE. Canadian's aren't funny! Honestly, they think they are but they're NOT! Mike Myers, and Jim Carrey are the only two I know of that are really funny. Everyone else is sh*t - I mean, just look at Tom Green. So unless they bring back some old writers, it will stay boring and stupid. The Simpsons has had its time, long live Family Guy...

Actually. Its the complete Opposite. Simpsons get worse every year. They shouldn't even come back for a new season. Its not worth it.

Past 4 seasons have been terrible. Shitty plots, shitty jokes, shitty everything.
