I just saw it in my local Walmart 2 days ago for $20. It is totally worth the money. A truly awesome game.

Yes. I bought my Xbox version for $20 at Wal-Mart though. And it wasn't even a Platinum Hit. ^_^

It definetly is. I bought my copy for $50 when it came out, and it is worth every penny in my opionion. I liked it so much I just went out and bought the Gamecube version a week or so ago for $20 to play though again. It is the best version by far in my opinion as well. As much as I like Link, the Gamecube controller isn't really suited to the game, but it does work, and the PS2 version isn't as polished or up on display features as the other 2, and Heichi is nothing more than a port from Tekken 4. The Xbox version has the most supported features, Spawn which playes really well. One of my Favorete fighting game characters of all time. If your the kind of person who loves to play really agressive when playing a fighting game, but also like that characters moves to be really easy to pull off and string togethether then Spawn is for you. The controller is extreamly well for the game too. Next to Ninja Gaiden it is probably the best xbox games hands down.

Wonder how the game would play if Link, Spawn, and Heihachi(can't spell) were in it in one version... I've played the Xbox version and Spawn has projectiles, which aren't exactly fireballs but good enough... later

As much as i love fighting games SC2 is a piece of trash. One of the most BORING games I've had ever played in my entire life.

Wow it's only 20 bucks now? I got a PS2 and a GC, I wonder which version I should get, GC has Link, but the PS2 has the best controls.

Are you kidding? I admit i never really cought onto the first soul calibur. The guard impacts where too hard for me to to get used to on the Dreamcast, but SC 2 is one of the best 3d fighters out there right now with the exception of Mortal Kombat, and DOA. The controls are a little more forgiving that the first one which maes it easier to get into. I personally hate Tekken and Virtua Fighter. I think Tekken is a trash game, and Virtua Fighter is too complex to even play it properly on a console with the controller. 2d fighing games change every instalment that there too hard to get used to. Street Fighter, and Marvel VS Capcom w/ one on one play are how 2d fighting game should play, not like Capcom vs SNK 2: EO.

well, for gc there's link and they say he is the greatest for scII because he fits perfectly in the game and his moves are fast, ps2 is hiachi (s/p) he doesn't have any weapons (no sword) and they say that the ps2 version doesn't really look all that good (don't know why?), but the xbox or gc versions are the really good ones, since I have the xbox version because to me it's the best looking graphics and control (so does gc) and I love spawn in it. so,I would say get it on xbox or gc.

There's no graphical difference between the versions. If there is, you won't notice it, because the game moves fast enough you won't have the chance to look hard enough. I've seen instances on PS2 where the video blurs up during action, but I use an RF modulator since my TV has no colored connections.
There's nothing wrong with the GC controller. I have the GC version, and I play the game very well with the controller. It helps that the C-stick is used for certain button combinations (A+K, B+G, A+B+K, ect.). I have no problem pulling off complex moves with it. Whoever said the GC controller doesn't work with fighters, didn't try, because all the fighters I've played on GC I had no problem with playing with this controller.
The GC and X-Box also have very fast load times (GC is slightly, SLIGHTY, slower, almost unnoticable compared to X-Box). Inferno's change on X-Box is instant compared to taking a couple seconds on GC.
Link is also kick-ass in the game. If you watch him when he's AI controlled, he tends to win a good deal more than he does lose. His only weakness is his projectile weapons, which if he misses, he doesn't recover from until the move is over. Heihachi's not bad either, though I suck at Tekken, his SC2 combos are easy to use.
Doesn't really matter which version you get, the only real difference is the exclusive characters.

Yeah, I could care less about the graphics, graphics dont mean jack to me. The GC version is the only version I haven't played, Heihachi is alright, but I wanna try Link, and I havent tried the GC controller with SC either.

Buy it, it's a great game.
I have it for the Xbox and PS2.
I have compared them, I have a switch box that let's me switch systems with the click of a button.
Anyway, the Xbox version has sharper graphics, the PS2 version is a little blurry. But it doesn't really matter because the game is so awesome.
