Whoa whoa whoa! What sport do you like to watch then? Because there isn't a whole lot of sports more exciting than football. The reason most Americans don't follow Soccor(futbol) is because we feel it is boring. I agree with stopping all the TV timeouts but how else am I gonna get my beer refilled and not miss the action. I'm glad that you like Madden although as a sports game it has gotten very stale and I'm also happy you like the Cowboys. America's team will be back on top next season.
As for my Super Bowl pics I was wrong. But both the Ravens and 49ers put up a helluva fight. I say the Giants beat the Patriots though. They already have once this season. And it's too bad because I hate both these teams.

I never watch the sport, BUT Madden (from '94 onwards) has been one of my most played games. It makes for a great game but to be honest it is a really crappy and slow sport to watch. I tried but there is just SOOOOOO many and long stoppages. It is like the game was designed to sell advertising space on TV.
Not trying to offend anyone who does like it, maybe going to a live game is different. I know many people feel this way about cricket (which is a sport I love)
On topic: I have always played as the Patriots or the Cowboys because I liked their uniforms and a good friend of mine studied in Dallas. Also Tom Brady seems like a cool bro so GO PATRIOTS!

I said what sport I like to watch in my second paragraph
Like I said it's just all the stoppages which put me off. Football highlights are hella fun to watch.

Well, since it's Patriots...
I'm hoping the 49ers, even though I like both teams because Manning is a good guy, you can't hate him and 49ers, well, that one play at the very end that got Davis all emotional and such, well, I just would like that team to win.
I just fucking hate Tom Brady.
Update: It's Giants and Patriots. And since I hate Tom Brady with a passion, you know who I'll be rooting for. Ze Giants!
Just curious, why do you hate Tom Brady?Well, since it's Patriots...

I'm like feeding off my dad's hatred of him.
My dad thinks he's just an ignorant s.o.b. and various other reasons to not like him and the Patriots all together and I tend to agree with it.
Plus, I just don't like him in general.

Well there you have it. The Giants didn't beat the 49ers. The 49ers beat the 49ers themselves.
My bad. You would have to explain the rules of Rugby and Cricket to me. I don't really know how they are played. I've always wanted to try Rugby though because I was always better at playing football without pads and knocking the shit outta people.

Well,it is interesting Rematch like four years ago,but this time I don't think Belichik and Brady will let Giants win another title in their faces. I root for Giants though in this one,but think that Pats will win, have this gut feeling.
Go Browns though! :D :D (I know,I know,there will be a lot of bashing for Cleveland team,but I don't care)

Brady is ok. Now Tebow on the other hand... I can't stand him. People said how great he was and "Tebow Time" but Tom Brady schooled his sorry ass. I also dislike how he uses a prayer as his signature. "Tebowing" is lame.
On a different note, I think the pats will win. It doesn't matter to me since the Jags came nowhere near the playoffs. One thing I dislike about football is too much showboating. Everytime players get a first down, touchdown, or a sack they do some stupid dance. To me, that is not good sportsmanship. If anything it is a sign of ignorance.

Really? i dont see showboating that much on first downs... maybe when it's important like a 3rd/4th down conversion.

That's cool. I would still need some help learning the game. Maybe I'll just stick with "Gridiron". I like that name better anyway.

Well IM me with any specify questions you might have in future. Rugby has some very technical rules that are hard to understand even for people who follow the game.
Basically imagine gridiron with no forward passing and you are allowed to kick whenever you want. Play keeps going until the ball is "dead", usually by going out of bounds, someone loses it forward out of their hands or the referee decides that it cannot be freed out of a pileup (or ruck as we call it).
My dad was a provincial coach (like a State couch to you guys I presume) so I grew up with the game and I have a lot of knowledge on it. Did not play for too long into my highschool career because I saw how it messed up my dad's knees.
Oh god, please don't mention Tebow, I am so glad his team didn't make it in the Superbowl. So much hype that he created all because he "prays" to do good during all of his games.
I thought it was a fine to do things that made people look specifically at you. Unless its just a touchdown thing... Damnit!

The Giants forced that fumble at the end, that's not the 49ers beating themselves.

Tebow's a good dude, I wouldn't have minded playing them in the bowl. While I'm Catholic, I do think it's a bit silly to pray and thank God for helping you out in a football game. I mean I'm sure God probably has an infinite amount of things to deal with that are more important than Football.
Anyway, as a lifelong Mets/Giants/Rangers/Knicks fan, I feel lucky to have seen a decent amount of good years for each, especially the Giants, going to multiple superbowls and usually making it in the playoffs. The Rangers as of late are kicking ass, especially in the Winter Classic, and I've never really followed the Knicks, just supported them due to my family being Knicks fans. I only hope the Mets get a good amount of money soon, otherwise it's gonna be a rough year.

You don't know how happy I was when his team got stomped.

I don't get the hate with Tebow. So he prays after a play, or a touchdown. Ooooooooh he sucks so bad.
Yeah, that's why he got the Bronco's to the playoffs. Saying he sucks is ridiculous.

Just because he got the Broncos to the playoffs doesn't mean he's God's gift to the Broncos, Tebow barely passes the ball, which is the most important thing a QB should be able to, and when he does pass, he usually passes Slants and Screens, His recievers are the ones who make the plays happen, they should be getting the praise (Although Tebow does say his teammates made him look better than he is.). He was a good QB in College, but in my opinion, that's all he was, a good QB in College...
He'd make a good Full Back i can tell you that much.
Tim Tebow is a good dude. So what if he prays? He's into his religion like all Christians should be. He doesn't ask God to help him win games he just asks God to help everyone stay injury free and give them the tools to play at their best. He doesn't believe God interferes in a game.
He isn't a good QB by any means although he shows flashes of brilliance. He isn't a good RB by any means but he's hard to take down and he is always running full speed. He is a great leader on his team though and he gets them pumped up to play at their best. He is a winner. The Mile High Messiah will do well if he works on his QB mechanics this offseason. And I wish they would have kept Brandon Marshall.

Ugh, the whole praying thing was not an issue, although it was getting annoying how almost every other day on the News, someone is doing the Tebowing thing which I don't get what's news-worthy about it.
But they're making it seem that it was only him who got the Broncos to the playoffs. Last time I checked, there was no "I" in team. What about all those who caught his balls? *Ahem* Or when he wasn't the quarterback for a few quarters/games?
He's not the one that carried the team along the way but everyone is making him sound like he's the world's greatest football player ever... Wasn't that... Walter Payton or something?
Anyways... No superbowl win for you, Patriots!!! Haha, had to.

He gets credit for those wins because when he stepped in as QB the offensive identity changed. The QB play had a drop off but now opposing defenses have to worry about a running threat out of Tebow. Defenses need to set a QB spy which opens up those slants and screens that Tebow is good at throwing. But don't hate Tebow for this! The Media makes Tebow more than what he is. Tebow doesn't ask for that.
The Broncos Defense and Offensive line deserve more credit than Tebow however. They looked great at the beginning of Tebows reign and held up well throughout the season. Beating the Steelers is no easy task.

49ers should be in the Super Bowl. I've got Brady winning, giving him a fourth ring and starting the debate whether hes better than Montana.
btw, I called the Pats winning it all at the start of the season. If they win, I'll have predicted the SB winner two years in a row. Future ESPN analyst tbqh

Why should the 49ers be in it? They lost.
