So how do you think this Superbowl will turn out? AWESOME? shitty? you just dont care? lol DISCUSS! Note: I still assume, people opening this thread are AT LEAST into football.

49ers all the way and yes I am from San Francisco wink. A rematch against the Ravens would be okay but facing the Patriots would be interesting.

I have good experience from this. I supported Packers the last time and it won so I think I will continue with that. From those listed, New England Patriots will thrive this year according to my intuition (no statistical proof).

You don't know much about the NFL, huh? tongue

The playoff tournament is closing up, and there are only 4 teams left (Packers not among them), and 3 games are left to be played, with the Super Bowl (championship game) coming in February.

I do know this much:

Seriously speaking, no, I don't know about it much. I have never played the specific sports for instance - we don't play it in schools because it's not part of our culture here. I remember that they showed the Superbowl in a sports channel last year though, so it's beginning to gain a little more attention. I think I will watch Superbowl a bit more this year (interested).

Ravens vs. 49ers

The head coaches for both teams are brothers. John Harbaugh coaching the Ravens and 1st year NFL head coach Jim Harbaugh who took a dismal 49ers team and catapulted them to the NFC championship. Both coaches seem to be defensive minded with ok offenses. I believe this match up is best for the NFL and the fans as well.

A patriots/giants rematch wouldn't be bad but I see Eli obliterating the Pats secondary because the Pats don't have a legitimate pass rush. Brady would of course be Brady and throw for atleast 250 but the Giants pass rush would have him on his back way too often. Giants would find seperation in the late second quarter and the patriots don't have the leadership on Defense to hold back the Giants stellar offense.

In saying this I don't believe the Giants win a second straight road game. They are a very good team but Jim has the 49ers hot right now after an upset win over a well rounded Saints team. San Fransisco is a tough stadium to play in. I wont ever fully count a Manning out though. He is playing as well as his older brother and has a great O line.

As for the Ravens/Patriots game. Patriots are damn near impossible to beat at home. But the Ravens have great leadership on the Defensive side of the ball and know who Toms main targets are. They will stifle the Pats great passing offense and hit those tight ends in the mouth. Ray Lewis is not gonna care about fines this close to the Super Bowl and who's to blame his old ass. Flacco is going to have to play his best game ever and not turn the ball over. I believe he can handle it.

In conclusion I believe out of my two Super Bowl picks Ravens get the job done. I will take the Veteren leadership over a great young 49ers team any day.

The Superbowl will come down to the Patriots vs the Giants, with the Patriots winning IMO. Even through the Giants beat the Pats in the regular season it wasn't by much 24-20. The Patriots and Tom Brady always seem to come prepared and determined in the post season, especially when their facing a team that they lost to in the regular season.

Ravens vs the Giants. Ravens win. I don't really follow football that much though, especially considering my team, the Vikings, as just been pure suckage these past couple years.

The Ravens suffered a Ray Finkle moment, and the Patriots are going to the Superbowl.

Well, since it's Patriots...

I'm hoping the 49ers, even though I like both teams because Manning is a good guy, you can't hate him and 49ers, well, that one play at the very end that got Davis all emotional and such, well, I just would like that team to win.

I just fucking hate Tom Brady.

Update: It's Giants and Patriots. And since I hate Tom Brady with a passion, you know who I'll be rooting for. Ze Giants!

I never watch the sport, BUT Madden (from '94 onwards) has been one of my most played games. It makes for a great game but to be honest it is a really crappy and slow sport to watch. I tried but there is just SOOOOOO many and long stoppages. It is like the game was designed to sell advertising space on TV.

Not trying to offend anyone who does like it, maybe going to a live game is different. I know many people feel this way about cricket (which is a sport I love)

On topic: I have always played as the Patriots or the Cowboys because I liked their uniforms and a good friend of mine studied in Dallas. Also Tom Brady seems like a cool bro so GO PATRIOTS!

Whoa whoa whoa! What sport do you like to watch then? Because there isn't a whole lot of sports more exciting than football. The reason most Americans don't follow Soccor(futbol) is because we feel it is boring. I agree with stopping all the TV timeouts but how else am I gonna get my beer refilled and not miss the action. I'm glad that you like Madden although as a sports game it has gotten very stale and I'm also happy you like the Cowboys. America's team will be back on top next season.

As for my Super Bowl pics I was wrong. But both the Ravens and 49ers put up a helluva fight. I say the Giants beat the Patriots though. They already have once this season. And it's too bad because I hate both these teams.
