Tekken 7 woot! Kinda bummed they 're skipping Tekken X Street Fighter, but Tekken 7 more than makes up for it.

Very cool. I was just thinking about when the next Tekken would be announced last night when I hopped on TTT2.

So glad it was announced today and I'll be looking forward to news.

I'm curious what the previous game engine was they where using for Tekken? It will be interesting to see how much things improve using Unreal Engine4.

Here is hoping that Tekken X Street Fighter wasn't canceled either, only delayed to move over the the new engine.

Nice!! Man, what a great time to be a fighting game fan. MK9, MVC3, MKX, KI season 2, Ultra SF4, new Smash Bros and now the King of Iron Fist Tournament is coming back for another round. Glad to hear it.

Now if they could bring back Eternal Champions, Weaponlord, Mace: The Dark Age, Bloody Roar and a few other forgotten gems, I'd be even happier!

The trailer has me hyped!!!!! I don't know if that was Jun or Kazumi(Kazuya's mother) speaking in the trailer, it makes it seem like it's Kazumi but it sounds like Juns voice actress..

But I do hope Jun makes a damn appearance lol.

This will most likely be the final battaru between Kazuya and Heihachi (Score is still 1-1) which is hype worthy.

At least we get some more shit on the 25th

Yup seems like next gen is finally getting some fighting games.

As for Kaz vs. Heihachi, I just hope it really is the last time they fight. The Mishimas could really use some finality in all that feuding. I honestly can't wait to see the new characters though.

I can safely assume Tekken X Street Fighter will be the Half-Life 3 of the fighting game genre.

Tekken x Street Fighter: Forever Edition?

The whole "Final Battle" has me worried, like this might be the final Tekken in the series . If it is I hope they have tag mode.

Honestly, I'd be fine if this is the last Tekken game we ever see. (Well canon Tekken anyway) This series needs some damn closure, at least for some of it's characters. Mainly Jin, that guy has been hauling around that Devil Gene for too damn long.

I just hope we don't get another Tekken 4 situation. A follow up game after a Tag game is tough to do because you reunite every character in the series then have a dramatic roster drop due to storyline and canonical reasons. The problem is Tekken 4 added only 2 new entirely new characters that weren't clones. Losing a crapload of characters is inevitable but I hope we at least have a decent amount of new blood. I'm also curious to see the new stages and soundtracks, to me (and I'm pretty sure we've agreed on this) Tekken has some of the best music out of any game.

Fighting games? Yeah, Tekken has the best. Of any game? Hmmm, thats pushin it. Tekken doesnt beat the masterpiece ost of MGS or Shadow of the Colossus.

UNREAL ENGINE huh? Gee, I wonder where they'd pull an original idea like that...

I hope the characters will get new costumes this time around. They've had the same costumes for 3 (some 4 or more) games now.

I think that 65% of the entire Tekken franchise wants to see Jin with is hoodie outfit from Tekken 4 and 5 :D

Personally I don't want to see Jin at all. I'm more interested in Kazuya and Heihachi. Of course, I hope Asuka makes the cut.

Honestly, I kinda hope we do.

Tekken 4 is my second favorite game in the series. The tone, and character roster were so refreshing to me. I'd like Tekken 7 to follow suit, but not have such a small roster. I'm thinking 30-36 characters. Nothing over 40.

Why is Kazuya all vengeful now? Hasn't he gotten to the point where death in the family doesn't bother him anymore?
Hell he is willing to kill his own son to regain the missing devil gene that went inside him.

Heihachi was only young for TTT2, which is non canon. Kazuya has always been about vengeance ever since Heihachi tossed his ass off a cliff back before Tekken 1.
