Despite having to wait even longer I like the idea of the arcade release well before console release. Any infinites, ridiculously overpowered moves, characters and such usually are fixed (except Steve in T5 ) and maybe we'll get some console exclusive characters and stages again. Also Harada responded to a tweet about unlocking characters and he said that would be happening in Tekken 7. So if there is an arcade release I guess we'll see time released characters again which to me is fucking awesome. I hated that with Tekken 6 and Tag 2.

What is the usual wait for a Tekken game, from the announcement to the release of the game?

In total I'm not sure, but from Arcade to console it's like 9-12 months.

I'd rather the characters to be mute like in the classics.

In all seriousness the voice acting has gotten better now when it comes to the english speaking characters.

Except Julia. Hers is a special case of cheesy voice acting.

The VA in Tekken is on the up and up. Not grand or anything but its okay. I just wonder if they're going to keep reusing the grunts from previous games like they have been for years.

One thing I do hope is that the music is good. Tekken 6 had like maybe 3 good tracks and everything else was lame. They need a soundtrack like Tekken 4 again.

Tekken 4, Tekken 2 as well as both Tekken Tags have phenomenal soundtracks. I really liked T5DR but not T5 as much and yeah T6 soundtrack was forgettable. Nothing beats Heavenly Garden in TTT2 (sorry if you got sick of that stage when we played online)

Harada wants YOUR opinion on new character idea

I really like this design for the character.

He looks sexy. I love his design - usually Arabian designs are very beautiful and sexy (with the main exception being the burka). There's a bit Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed about him without them blatantly copying those designs, so that's good. Overall I like the design.

I hope his gameplay will be good. ^^

Right now its just a concept. They might scrap the entire character if the reaction is bad enough. Hopefully it gets a positive reception and they make the character.

Well, that's offensive. Just because they're all supposed to be ethnic they suddenly all look like eachother. Tch, that's racist...

He does remind me of Miguel based on his skin tone and haircut. I saw a lot of comments on Facebook stating the same. A lot of Arab fans ask for him to have a beard, too, to be more authentic (and distinguish him from Mr. Caballero-Rojo.)
Obviously, though, concept drawings often lack a great deal of physical features from the final product (that is, if he passes inspection.)

Anyways, I wish Harada would post some Dragunov or Bryan Fury concepts. That probably won't happen, though. I'll just have to settle for more Lili/Alisa/Asuka crap as has been the trend for years.

Incidentally I don't like when a character HAS to wear clothes reflecting where they're from. I find it to be tacky and tasteless especially for Tekken.

Hated Miguel's debut bullfighter outfit, loved the simple design he had in Tag2. And as for Zafina the default is okay but I vastly prefer her snake motif Player2 outfit.

I hope he doesn't either.

Good news!! Tekken 7 location test will happen Oct 3,4, and 5th in Japan. Here are the T7 renders for Kaz and Hei. Notice the Devil Kazumi in the background? Also according to eventhub there will be 20 playable characters (translated from Harada, which includes new characters) during the location test and will only show off about half of the graphical power of the finished product.

Hope we get at least a trailer from TGS. Because right now the Tekken hype is at a grinding halt.

Tekken has been really going downhill in terms of new characters lately. The last installment that actually had awesome newcomers was Tekken 5.
