I'm hoping at least Juri from the SF series and new Tekken character Eliza make it in. The rest of the cast I expect to be the most popular characters from each series like SF X Tekken did, along with maybe a surprise character like Poison was... maybe Stryder?

I want the TXSF roster to differ from the SFXT roster. But SFXT pretty much nailed who the core characters of the franchise were. But still, I have a list that is pretty different.

Biggest thing I think SFXT failed to capitalize on was the obvious match-ups. With my roster you get Ganryu vs. E. Honda, Marshall Law vs. Fei Long, Zafina vs. Rose, Lili vs. Karin, Xiaoyu vs. Sakura, etc. I was torn on having Mokujin or not, but then I thought "What if he could have the SF characters' fighting styles?" And I knew he had to be on there.

I just wanna see Dee Jay in there. They can take away his projectile & I think he'd still work well in a Tekken setting I really wanted to pit Dee Jay vs Eddy Gordo in SFxT but didn't get to :-/

Sorry if I spelled some names wrong. Was thinking of characters that haven't been in the series recently. I think my roster is decent even though it's missing some fan favorites. But if everyone had there character the roster would be 100+ characters. That's a lot of work. I even think 52 is stretching it on there 1st title.

I really hope they don't give Devil Jin and Evil Ryu their own slots. It would be such a waste. They should do what they did for Devil with Kazuya. Have Jin and Ryu be able to transform into Devil Jin and Evil Ryu and the transformation would give them new moves.

If they can capitalize on the key characteristics that separate them, those obvious match-ups are great. I like the idea of the Namco game being the one that diminishes specials to emphasise the fundamental movements of each of the fighting styles. I just don't know if they're going to be able to represent those styles and still keep similar characters interesting as clear, decisive individuals without resorting to another generalized SF/Tekken dichotomy. Here's hoping!

Tekken has always been graphically one of the best fighting games. So to see SF in a completely new light will be interesting. Plus the fact that it will be next gen, we're looking at a visually gorgeous game.

Before I rant, I'll immediately concede that TxSF is a much better concept than SFxT. Exploring Ryu's core martial arts and fundamentals sound way more interesting than seeing Alisa spam rocket punch on a 2D plane.

With that out of the way, I'm not too excited for TxSF. SFxT sucked for a plethora of reasons, but if you fix all the dumb shit in that game, the idea is still inherently flawed. Everything that's good/cool about the Tekken cast doesn't translate in the Street Fighter atmosphere. Bob's martial arts are cool because he is fighting other people with (mostly) standard martial arts. When Bob's fighting a dude who can shoot blue fireballs the size of his torso, something has clearly been diminished.

When they tried to add SF elements to the Tekken characters, it just felt alien and contrived. I love Rose, and I love Angel, but combining them into a duo wouldn't make the characters anymore interesting, nor would the duo itself be all that great. It would just look random and confused. Will TxSF be better if SF characters have to adapt to Tekken environment? Doubtful, but we'll see.

Anyhoo, the game came out a decade too late. There's too many fighting games on shelves right now as it is.

Are you serious? Next gen has next to no fighting games at all. All PS4 has is Injustice, and all Xbone has is Killer Instinct. If anything there is a fighting game drought on next gen. We NEED more fighting games.

I actually think that's a good thing. You gotta remember that the next-gen presence doesn't invalidate the last-gen fighting games. If you go to tournaments, SF4 is still pulling in the most numbers, while far newer games such as SFxT and Tekken Tag 2 are pretty much dead on a competitive level.

But if your main point is that KI and Injustice aren't enough... how many fighting games SHOULD we have on the market? This is a genre where it really doesn't pay to be fourth or fifth in the competition. Guilty Gear Xrd is on the horizon, and MK10 is roughly a year away. I personally think the fighting game market is healthy right now, especially since this is going to be a 10 year console generation (it's not, but let's humor Microsoft and say it is).

I'd like there to be at least one other game besides Injustice. That game is stale for me. The ability to record gameplay is such a potent feature for fighting games, I'd like to be able to use it.

Which is why I'm excited for TxSF and MK10. Just so I have some fresh fighting games to play. And I'm hoping against hope that Ultra SF4 gets ported to next gen eventually.

Any of the family is welcome, but my Asuka is and will always be my number one pick. Everyone else is a bonus lol Then again, I never really played Jin, Kaz, nor Jun. Mostly Heihachi and Asuka.

Well I bring up Jun because I can't see them having Jun and Asuka in the game at the same time. They play too similarly. Which is kind of why I doubt we'll see Armor King and Anna as well. (Even though they play very differently than King and Nina.) So I do think it will have to be one or the other.

Anybody think TxSF will have customization? I really hope they do.

I think somehow I have a feeling we might see a Nina/Anna vs Cammy/Decapre match in TxSF!

Speaking of Decapre are they trying to do a Kunimitsu redesign with that mask?

I saw somewhere she had a full mask and now it's cut off at the face. Oh well I don't know anything about Street Fighter since I don't play the series. Maybe TxSF will change that.

Anyway I'd prefer Jun and..Eliza I guess over Asuka and Lili.
