Hate to sound like/be an elitist, but Slipknot is hardly even Metal. I'm tired of every form of music that uses loud guitars and/or makes use of power chords being classified as "Metal." There are too many other things that makes Metal Metal and too many things about Slipknot's music that sets them apart from Metal.

Slipknot is Nu Metal. Nu Metal is not metal. Metal is not played on the radio or Mtv at ALL anymore. No, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Drowning Pool, band whatever is NOT metal.

It's rock. Really aggresive rock. But not metal.
