The Road to Wrestlemania XXX (April 6, 2014)
I went to it and didn't see much on Sting. I googled it and there really isn't anything concrete there either.
Anyway what I really want to see is Arn Anderson vs Daniel Tosh. Arn has been ducking Tosh for way too long now.

- The Usos vs. Los Matadores vs. The Real Americans vs. Ryback & Curtis Axel (WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Pre-Show Match)
Very disappointed to see the Tag Team titles bumped to the Pre-Show.
Especially on such a short Mania card. Not digging that, either!

Stone Cold confirmed for Wrestlemania.
I wonder if it has anything to do with Austin saying that he thinks Punk is going to be returning at Wrestlemania.

The only sensible thing from this match is to have the Usos retain, so I'm not all that surprised.

Would they? Could they? A year-long build to a XXXI match?
Gotta think that's the type of thing that would get CM Punk back. It may or may not address Austin's usual 'what happens next?' problem with coming back for a match. Probably just an appearance, but you never know!

I really wanted to see The Real Americans go at it on the undercard in a solo bout, but if they haven't split by now, I wouldn't object to a short tag team title run. Could be a good cheer if Cesaro gets the fall, and would help build the face/heel dynamic between he and Swagger.
Usos make sense, though. Just wish it was on the main show. There are only seven matches now. One's a battle royal. Another's a 14-diva pile up on Route 90. Poor choice, in my mind. Let the pre-show be all hype and sell the importance of Wrestlemania and its matches!

Lets get some predictions, mofos.
- The Real Americans
The Usos make a lot of sense, but I like the thought of The Real Americans getting a last minute reign to cap their season off. Would've much rather seen Cesaro/Swagger on the main card. Maybe they'll get a chance to feature more prominently a couple months from now. Usos are a safe bet. I'm picking Cesaro & Swagger - begrudging champions moving forward.
- Brie Bella (Diva's Championship Invitational)
Does anything really matter when there are fourteen divas in one ring? Expecting anarchy. Maybe AJ Lee sneaks out with a win. Brie Bella is the logical alternate. She's got a modicum of ability, plenty of exposure, and could probably transition to some interesting things. Golden couple (assuming the boyfriend wins) is a nice image, too.
- The Big Show (Andre the Giant Invitational)
With 27 names announced and a whole lot of job meat, the list of legit contenders is pretty short. Alexander Rusev stands out as a distinct possibility for an unnamed participant winning. I really don't like the idea of unproven quantities debuting at Wrestlemania, but WWE clearly haven't felt like that in a long time. Big Show is the no brainer. It's obvious, but it's a feel good, appropriate win. Couldn't rule out Sheamus. Couldn't rule out a classic entrant like Warrior, Hogan, Duggan, Stone Cold.
- The Shield
A little disappointed with this match two-fold. Would've liked to see the New Age Outlaws add to a turmoil spill for the Tag Titles. Would've liked to see the US title up for grabs. Probably would've liked that long rumoured Shield three-way to be the way it broke down. Kane and New Age Outlaws don't really need a win here. It seems like The Shield are gonna get a late run as faces. Shield win. And then Kane tombstones Peter Rose, Paul Bearer looks smug, and Rikishi gives Road Dogg the stink face. Oops. Wrong sloppy Mania multi-man.
- Bray Wyatt
If I'm totally honest, I want to pick Cena. I just can't help but notice the overwhelming favouritism for the babyfaces. Maybe after the year WWE just came off, giving people a Wrestlemania face turn top to bottom makes sense. If not -- this is the match where the heel can win. I don't know if that necessarily does Wyatt the favours some people think it will. I don't know that he's earned a Wrestlemania win just yet. I might like to see him chasing Cena, rather than the other way around, giving long term benefit to Wyatt as he finds victory a month or two down the line-- maybe at Extreme Rules (where Cena could come out well. There's a bit of the Hogan/Monster about this one. I don't buy Wyatt as long term. He needs legacy. I think a loss would be better for that, but I'm tipping a win. [Unless, of course, they look at Cena as a potential heel winner in front of a Mania crowd...]
- The Undertaker
Anybody picking Lesnar is being ridiculous. This doesn't need to be a shock end to the streak. It just needs to be the dream match we've been wanting. I don't know that it will live up to previous years, but here's hoping. I would've liked a stronger build that played more on Lesnar's successes against The Undertaker in the past. Either way, just looking forward to the spectacle.
- Triple H
It would be a no brainer to have Bryan Danielson thwart his nemesis and rise to the top. I'd like to think that's what will happen. Could they really pass up the opportunity to crank the screw one last time? If Triple H were to win early and set himself up for a graduation to the championship match, he would set himself up as the biggest heel Wrestlemania has ever seen. The boos upon his return for the main event would be legendary. Of course, in this scenario, they wouldn't be the end of it. Danielson still emerges for that championship match (maybe via Hogan or McMahon), and he wins the title, possibly even pinning Triple H, who may have used dirty tactics to win earlier. This is the much safer way to squeeze one last drop of drama out of the match, rather than having Danielson win here and lose in the main event. I could be wrong, but I'm going out on the limb. It's Owen Hart beating Bret at Wrestlemania X, before Bret wins the title in the main. Only super-charged with the white hot heat of Triple H and the Yes Movement.
- Bryan Danielson (WWE Championship)
To get Bryan Danielson to the Championship match and beat him just seems like a recipe for disaster. In a triple threat, it makes a lot of sense for him to finally get that legit win over Orton [the one overdue from October 2013+]. If things do manage to escalate into a four-way as I've rather outrageously predicted, then it would probably be more logical to have Danielson get his final victory over Triple H here. They could do an Extreme Rules match, but Batista/Danielson might be better. I'm going with the big babyface celebration for the finish. I could be wrong.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Oh man this one kinda hurts. Why would Taker let Lesnar(a part timer who has never proven himself in the WWE) over? I hope Lesnar will start really investing himself into this. He could be great if he wanted to be. This really puts a cog in the Sting reveal wheel though. I don't get this at all.

Congrats Brock!......(cries a single tear)

Man, I'm still in shock. I'm not gonna lie, I'm one of those people who believes the streak should have never ended. If it had to end, as long as it felt right, than so be it, but i'd have preferred it to stay intact. This ladies and gentlemen, did not feel right. Why Brock Lesnar? A part timer who has always been about the paycheck before the business.
It truly sucked to watch it be handed to some asshole who could give a shit less. Its being widely reported that this is the way Taker wanted it, and if its true, so be it. It doesn't leave me any less confounded, but...
Ah fuck. If this is truly the end for the man, than thanks for the memories. I don't think I'll ever be as excited for wrestlemania season again.
Lots of other stuff to be excited about...shield domination, Cesaro wins the battle royal, AJ retained, and of course Bryan defying the odds. All good stuff, except the kick in the nuts.

- Wrestlemania XXX Box Score: Every Suplex, Chair Hit, And Top Rope Dive
It's not the name of the game, but I always enjoy seeing stats applied to pro wrestling. Interesting to see the styles and ring time broken down as raw data (pun intended). Entrance times is particularly interesting for WMXXX, especially because none of them were particularly offensive in spite of the time they took. I like more of a showcase, 10+ match card for Mania, but after several years of disappointment, this was a Mania that might not have peaked, but also did not plummet to lows of previous years.
- Undertaker's stunning loss makes future as juicy as ever
Not Ross' best work, but anyone looking to squeeze a little bit more out of the Wrestlemania experience might enjoy the new recap.
