Come here to discuss Spiderman 2 which opened today.

Well, I already saw it earlier and WOW!. what a awesome movie it was. alot better than the first Spiderman. Doc Oct was such a cool villian. I think he was a cooler villian than the goblin. the fight scenes were tight! Also, the story was pretty interesting to. This was the best movie I've seen all year definlly.

Ya, (Spoilers) I like the part in the bank where Doc Ock picks up spider-man by the throat then spider-man pulls a web-line to a desk and it knocks the shit out of Doc Ock and he slams into that car, LOL!

Just so I know what I'm walking into tomorrow when I see it. Is it really a "Spider Man" movie or does the Doc steal the show thus making the movie "The Doc Oct Show"? tongue

Damn it, I loved this movie so much I can't stop saying anything good about it.

The Doc ocK/operating room segment when they tried to cut off his tenticles was fuckin tight! the way he was just throwing all those doctors around looked cool.

I thought the side story of Peter/Mary jane was done pretty well. It was more interesting than the first one.

The previews thought were some of the most sorriest crap I've ever seen. the only move that looked pretty good were Blade 3 and the bourne supremency. every other movie was just crap!

actually its more of a spiderman movie...I think personally they didnt use the villian enough in this movie. To many flash backs and talk of the first one in this.Lame story for me,boring villian, boring acting from toby.Oh well there is hints in the movie for the next villian for the third one and sadly its not vanom atleast thats pretty much what their pointing at.And for god sake gives bruce a real role for once. And I saw this movie got 4 stars wooo don't take this the wrong way but this isnt exactly a 4 star movie consendering it has it fair share of faults. The story draged out to long, and sometimes it didnt explane enough. Its a good movie for about 7.50 that i had to pay for when i saw the midnight showing last night. But not worth the $19.99 for the dvd when its released one day.I am not saying this is a bad movie but it could have been done better.

Dude, it's just like they did in part one where they switched back and fourth. It shows both of their lives and how they progress through the movie so I would call it "Their Movie".

The movie focuses more on Peter and his difficulties, which I appreciated. The side plotlines, like Harry's descent into insanity, and peter's decision to give up the mantle, were what really made the film for me.

That, and the kick-ass train fight.

The tendons in my arms hurt just remembering the aftermath of that scene... :)

WHAT AN AWESOME MOVIE!!!!

I saw it earlier today, and I gotta say, it's probably the best movie I've see nthis year. And the story does focus alot on Peter Parker and his problems, but it does a fair share of Doc Oc. The fight scenes were so great, they were so awesome. And its pretty intersestin how Spiderman 3 will play out, after all that happened in this one.

Spider-Man 2 was beautiful.

And what makes it so beautiful is the great attention to not only the plot. But the characters as well. You actually CARE about the people in this movie. I didn't think Spider-Man could be topped but its Sequel is a much better movie when you really just sit back and watch.

The amazing fights... The great plot... The great character Development.

Everything was GREAT.

After seeing such garabge..

(Day after Tomorrow, Punisher...)

It was time to finally see a GREAT movie again.

Two mother fucking thumbs up!

The Movie had alot of Humor in it to.

I just couldn't stop laughing when Spiderman had to use the elevator. Him and that guy were just standing there all silent. That was just funny as hell.

Also, the Newspaper boss was pretty funny to.

I can't wait for Spiderman 3!

I agree, This is strange for a superhero movie, but I wasn't saying to myself "when the hell is the fight scenes and the action part going to come!". I was actually interested and cared about the actual charaters. thats what great acting is all about. Maguire and Dunst pulled it off really well. Heres a movie that has great action, cool villian, cool hero, great acting, great story, and great Speical Effects. what else can you ask for in a movie.

DUde I was busting up on that part, that was freakin hilarious.

Also when he jumps from the building and he lands on that car and hits his head, then hits his back on the other lmao.

And yeah, the newspaper boss was the funniest guy in the movie, he was hilarious.

Another thing I forgot to mention what that I liked how they had shots of the first movie in a comic book-like style in the into. that was a pretty cool touch.

Yes i watched it last night all i can say is:
wow. wow wow

I went to Chicago last summer and thats where the train fight was filming (it was in chicago not new york, like the rest of the movie.)I saw the train that they fight on. I rode on it too. BUt anyways, Doc Ock beat on spidey untill the last fight..The movie made me change my perspective on Doc Ock. BEfore I hated him, now he's awesome. Also the lady singing the spider-man theme was so funny. The next movie will be about what happened in the end of the movie (ho-boy) but they gotta have a mysterio movie vs. spiderman.

I saw the movie last night with my wife. We both loved it. Everything in it was done perfectly. Acting, character development, plot, stunts, cgi, all of it was excellent. You really feel sorry for Peter for the first half of the film or so. Overall an awesome job. Bruce Campbell (from the Evil Dead series) has another cameo, and 'hats off' to Sam Raimi for putting him in another Spidey movie. Definetly 5 out of 5 stars. What are you waiting for??? Go see it!!!

I haven't seen Spider-man 2 yet, but I'm goin tonite. The trailer looks incredibly bad azz, and like it will top the first on all levels.

I do agree that what makes Spider-man great, and so much better than other super-hero flicks, is the idea of him being a normal person with a huge power and responsibility (captures the spirit and theme of the comic books while adapting the stories for moviegoers) and going through the same things as the rest of us. However, this strength can also be a weakness. If you connect with a character and care about them the writer/director/actor/actress has done their job, but eventually and inevitably there are going to be changes in the cast (coulda happened this movie with Jake Gyllenhall nearly replacing Tobey Maguire as SM) and though the new actor/actress may do well, they never seem to match up to the original; the connection between actor/character has been made. It's like your best friend who lived on your block moved away and someone equally cool moved in but the feeling isn't the same. Thus it becomes easier to pick apart what else is wrong with the succeeding (not successful, the following) movies.

Alas, this is the problem with all franchise movies.

lol, ik i'm ranting *I was under the influence of heavy pain medication while I wrote this* anywaze, Spiderman kicks ass! it'll own any and all other super-hero movies! Catwoman? blah... there are countless other movies to see Halle Berry running around in little-to-no clothing

peace
Oh, one more thing, here's a random fact for all the movie-philes and film fanatics: Alfred Molina (Doc Ock) was in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. He played Indy's tour guide and had the infamous line "You throw me the idol, I throw you the whip!"

O.K. I will tell you
(Spoilers)
If you don't want to be spoiled then don't go down anymore, if you do, go down to the very bottom of my message.

(Spoilers)

The ending shows harry osbourne and he finds out that peter is spider-man and he hears his fathers voice, he walks over to his fathers mask collection and sees the goblin mask, along with the complete set of armor and the flying-thing. Harry is probably going to be a sub-boss in spider-man 3 as the hob-goblin. Sorry if I spoiled the movie for you but you asked....
