Im guessing when they say Console Exclusive, they mean exclusive to the consoles. I:e: Not the Arcades.

Looks really good. I only care for Kunimitsu of the bunch and she looks like she's gotten some original moves there. Awesome! ^^

Cool video. Here's my first thoughts:

- Of course Michelle is beating up Ganryu

- Angel seems like Devil Jin

- Ancient Ogre is beast as usual

- Whoa, what!? Kunimitsu can breathe fire???

It's a common ninja magic to breath fire, so I guess Kunimitsu has learned it while she was absent the past few games. ^^

Well, Kunimitsu is also known as The Cat Devil. I don't think she's a demon though. As said, ninja magic is common. All ninjas in Mortal Kombat can do magic of some sort. Yoshimitsu and Raven both have magic abilities. Ever seen Naruto? Tons of magic stuff.

Of course, ninja magic is fictional, but real-life ninjas of old Japan were also rumoured to do magic.

I don't think she is a demon. That was more of a joke. But I am curious as to what's under her mask. The marking on her face leaves me wondering.

Yeah, she didn't have that in the first TTT where she also shows part of her face.

Michelle Chang: Dat Outfit. Dat Wink. Hope she has her Native american Jacket in her 2p outfit or in customization.

Angel: I'm not seeing anything Devil can't copy himself. I'm starting to think that despite the Kazuya tranformation Devil will get his own slot as Angels 2P just like before. Or we can just pretend that this Angel is tied to Jin not Kazuya

Ogre: Nothing really wowed me here besides the Telekinesis grab.

Kunimitsu: Awesome.Enough said.

Now then I have some concerns about The Pre-order stuff that I hope gets explained either at E3 or later on this week....And it's definitely not the paid dlc fears everyone else had.

1. Is this preorder thing they're doing merely an unlock early on code?

Like hypothetically..they're on the disc but you have to clear arcade mode a certain number of times to unlock them or You can preorder and get them unlocked right away.

2. Will it involve Retailer B.S? Ex: Get Kunimitsu if you preorder at Gamestop/Get Michelle if you preorder at Bestbuy..

3. Will they be locked out or blank on the character select screen or what?

4. Will they have the same things the rest of the TTT2 roster have?

Is the possibility of Customizing outfits for these characters still there? What about endings? What about special tag throws?


Anyway the roster is now 49 (I'm not counting Violet I KNOW he's a costume for Lee...well He'd damn well better be.) so to make it over 50 you'd need about 3 people. Yes three. 51 is a cheap grab for an over 50 characters! sell in my opinion.

So I'm casting my vote for Prototype Jack,Forrest Law and Crow.

My worries about the console exclusives being clones are gone thankfully. Michelle, Ogre, Angel and Kuni all have their own unique moves/throws. The only non clone characters missing would be P. Jack and Dr. B. The rest however would be: Alex(Roger), Unknown(Jun), Tiger(Chreddy), Forest Law(Marshall Law), Miharu(Xiayou) and Combot. I doubt they'll put in Azazel.


Oh and btw LOVING the themes on the stages. Heavenly Garden, Wayang Kulit, Arctic Dream, Sakura Schoolyard, Festive Parade, Strategic Space, Arena, and Bountiful Sea all have incredible BGM. Can't wait to see and listen to the new stages.

Tiger ended up as costume parts for Eddy. It's assumed Combot is playable after you're done with Fight Lab. I'm hoping Unknown, Gun Jack, Alex and Tetsujin end up as parts for costumes like Tiger and Violet (Lee) and are given The Julia/JayCee treatment where By putting said costumes on the announcer acknowledges them as such.

They could put Forrest in and change his moveset around if only to add an extra character and give us a Father and son Law Team...like the bears and Chreddie. Miharu is trash. edit: And FUCK Azazel.

I feel like turning in Tekken Hybrid. Only thing I actually like is the movie ._.
Tag Tournament 1 is boring somewhat. Would've been better if they added online.
Prologue. I do not like Kazuya(Devil) and Devil Jin's design(from Blood Vengeance) and there is only 4 stages.

Well At least my second concern was answered.

Smart of them to seperate Michelle and Kunimitsu.. they'd draw the biggest preorders.

Y'know once it all releases they could do something like Twisted Metal did with its free DLC. Start the game..wait for some updates and what a pleasant surprise All the extra fighters are in!

I'm not sure what they mean with the "Get one or more DLC characters for free from the start"... Does that mean they will wait to put the DLC up some time after release, or does it mean that we have to pay for them if we don't pre-order?

I imagine because Harada had a rage on twitter is that they will be released for free after a while.

Why would someone rage over free DLC? :S
Anyways, I hope they will be free for all, if not from release then some time after, because I am so gonna play as Kunimitsu!

Actually, if each character became DLC you had to pay for, I would just buy Kunimitsu.

If its free DLC, why aren't they just in the game? What about the people who don't happen to have online at their house? They have to miss out on 4 characters just because they made FREE CHARACTERS to people who online only? Damn man.

Think about all the things that are going into TTT2.

What if they're packing the disc and couldn't fit those few characters? Maybe.

Basically he has said there are no plans for characters to be Paid-For DLC, (I:e These characters are free) whereas Extra Customisation Equipment might be Paid-for (You want a top hat and monocle for Kazuya? That'll be 240 Microsoft fun money)

As soon as that DLC trailer went out people instantly said "Oh great PAID DLC". And Harada just bit their head off.

As far as the whole "Why are there pre-order dlc?" thing, The economy is a strange mistress and some retailers are willing to pay companies for "Early stuff". (Remember the classic MK costumes or the Batman suits?)

Finally a release date. September 11th here I come.
