Heh, that reminds me, I frequently go to Ponychan, there's currently a meme there (at least in the /pic/ board), about an Original Character named Ticket. Ticket is the physical manifestation of everypony's wanting of Twilight Sparkle's tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala in Season 1 episode 3, The Ticket Master. Ticket is a yellow pony (with a gold mane) with a Gala ticket as her cutie mark.

My home on Ponychan is the /pic/ board. Sometime ago /oat/ was the equivalent of 4chan's /b/ board (most chaotic place ever), only without the porn and gore. Currently there's a new board named /ef/ (Everfree), that board has a more relaxed rules and has become the new /b/ of Ponychan, (so I hear) still without the porn and gore, of course.

Finally got up to date with all the episodes. Hell yeah!

It's time I gave a bit of info, regarding the brony fandom and season 1 and 2:

When season 1 ended with episode 26 on May 6, 2011, there was a huge time gap between S1 Ep26 and Season 2 Ep1, IRL of course. After season 1 ended, there were no new MLP:FiM episodes for the whole summer, episode 1 of season 2 aired on September 17, 2011. It is likely we will have to go through another huge time gap in between seasons when S2 ends. Bronies born of season 2 did not have to go through this, but bronies born of S1 did. But have no fear, for the S1 bronies will conquer the wait once more while S2 bronies will triumph like the S1 bronies did!

Out of sheer curiosity, what's the nature of this show's appeal? I'm not out to bash it or anything, I just genuinely don't get it.

It is simply a good TV show. Have you heard of the Powerpuff Girls? Lauren Faust, storyboard artist, writer, director, and supervising director of the Powerpuff Girls, is the developer, creator and currently the consulting producer of MLP:FiM.

MLP:FiM just happens to be good, nothing more. We enjoy it for it's good quality, writing, characters, and humor. It confuses many people because of the name "My Little Pony". (This confusion also causes the show to become meme-worthy.)

I get my daily fix of ponies not by watching episodes, but by going to Ponychan. My home there is the /pic/ board. /oat/ (board for random things) is Ponychan's equivalent of 4chan's /b/ (the most chaotic place ever), only without the gore and porn. I think the /oat/ people have migrated to /ef/ (everfree), an experimental board where the rules are more relaxed. There are many boards on Ponychan for specific purposes, such as /pony/, to discuss the show, /art/, to showcase your artistic talent. There are non-pony-related boards too, like /chat/.

There are actually two pony-related chans. Ponychan and FiMchan. Ponychan is strictly PG-13 (content that is higher than this is not allowed), and Ponychan gets more traffic. FiMchan is more like a "post whatever the **** you like as long as it isn't illegal" kind of place, FiMchan isn't as popular as Ponychan.

I just told another of my friends about my liking MLP and how it happened.

I'm just glad no one blatantly says "GTFO" upon hearing it. I think they're cool with it, but one of them likes the Twilight series. Frankly there is no room to judge.

I assimilated a friend of mine into the herd (a good PSN friend).

A few days ago, I explained to him about the brony phenomenon, then the next day he said he just found out his little sister watches MLP:FiM, then I told him to try it out. Two days later, he likes MLP:FiM!
