I think it's because people didn't want another doll character. I know I didn't. She looks cool though. I was hoping for Edward Falcon from Power Stone before they said it was a character in the SF universe. Oh well.

Definitely am excited for the game though.

Knew it was gonna be that doll. Called it months ago.

Don't know whether to be happy I was right or sad that I was right.

Wouldn't have been my first pick, but I dig it. Might help that I'm not really invested in an umpteenth version of the game, but they've always done a great job differentiating similar characters.

Loving the anime sequences, too. Wish they'd ditch the fan-whatsit live-action YouTube Legacy crap and just make a series already! It's great!

Bwa-ha-ha...
As expected from "creative" Capcom - if not another shotoclone, than its Cammyclone. Cheap. Very cheap.

Though, there are 12 of them (now 11) - will be enough for many-many stupid updates and rereleases.

I would hardly call Capcom creative, Decapre was a mod created by IceBreaker 4 years ago, same shit different day,

Cammy, Juli, Juni, Decapre are the only ones playable.

But there is one for every month in the year in the comics.

I heard a rumour that it was going to be a doll, but it was going to be the one with dreads.

The fact its literally Cammy in a mask leaves a bitter taste.

And the fact Bison beats up R. Mika in the reveal trailer.

Yet people will still purchase the steaming piles of crap that Capcom produces regardless of how much people dislike the minor additions.

Even Capcom said most people wouldn't like the fifth character, and here we are. They knew they were wrong with this approach, but it doesn't matter, 1 character doesn't make or break the game. Besides, this game is mostly for established Street Fighter fans, and they will buy the game anyways. At least Capcom doesn't recycle their assets annually and charge full price ala Call of Duty.

I'm a huge Cammy fan, she's my #1 Street Fighter character, and as much as I love Decapre and the other dolls, I was hoping that Decapre would at least get an all original moveset instead of copying some of Cammy's. That said, the moves that are unique to her look freaking awesome! It's like Cammy being a ninja! Awesome! :D

She's definately a character I'll check out.

Also, her Ultra is pretty damn cool.

Reading more into her. It seems she has the same normals as Cammy, but her specials and ultras are different, plus she plays as a charge character. It could be interesting.

I've been pretty anit-Capcom for a while now, but I've gotten more in SSF4 lately so i might pick the game up, as much as I really don't want to support them with this game. It would be nice of we got a next gen port of the game as well.

I think a lot of people forget that. They're too fixated on " OMG another SF? Fuck those money hungry bastards!" People need to realize that the reason they keep supporting SF is because SF fans buy the games. And yeah they never once charged full price for a game with significant content that was added. Plus they give you the option to upgrade to the digital version for 15$ if you already have AE. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

On top of that, I think there's a glaring hypocrisy within the Capcom hate. If MK was supported as well as SF4 I guarantee people would buy those games. How many threads were there for an "Ultimate MK9"? That would new stages, characters, finishers, etc. Yes Capcom has definitely made some bad decisions, but you can't condemn them for supporting a game people will pay for.

My main complaint against Capcom and SF in general is the fact that all the DLC is locked away on the disk.

USF4 would also be an even better deal if it gave all the DLC as part of upgrade version as well, rather than the retail version. For someone like myself who refused buy any more dlc after the mess going between vanilla SF4 and SSSF4 (actually I held out until AE), I'd be willing to buy the upgrade, since it's out earlier, but it doesn't include the DLC.

It's just ass backwards to not include the previous dlc costumes with the upgrade version IMO. Why force gamers to own 3 or 4 disk versions of the game?

Like I said, I can't advocate everything they do. As they do make stupid decisions. But if you held out for that long a couple months wouldn't kill you. Hell, I held out since 2007.

Thank you! I'm sick to death of people shitting on the multiple versions of SF4.

Each new revision is at minimal a character expansion set, and if people actually did the math, they'd realize that each version is a crazy good deal! Not to mention the rebalancing. Vanilla SF4 had ONE ridiculous character... ONE!!! And Capcom fixed Sagat with the next iteration of the game. Mortal Kombat has six S-tier bullshit characters, and all we got from NRS was "srry, working w/Injustice., thnx for ur $$$"

And people have the audacity to complain about Capcom releasing too many versions of SF4 after I spent the last three fucking years chasing Kabal towards each corner of the Roof Top Day Stage. I would pay $59.99 plus tax JUST to get rid of the input bug.

It's interesting that her mask originally was covering her whole face, and without mask she should like this:

which seemingly not the case in USF4 for whatever reason.

They could have done it diferently, without DLC on disk debacles and other questionable moves. Even if product sells, it doesn't mean, that it is a quality product.

Sure, they could've done things differently. But they didn't, and here we are. And with each SF4 that was made, significant changes were made to make it a more quality product. Balance isn't cheap, it costs money. Just because balance patches are free to download doesn't mean they're free to make. They could've left the game unbalanced but they wanted to improve the balance as much as possible.

The mask and the scar seems to be alot like how Kunimitsu from Tekken is. The UDON comics aren't canon though.

I'm still carrying a torch for an all new, all updated Joe.
Wouldn't say no to Birdie or Eagle, at this point, either!

In other words -- they've added 1 Doll. To make an SFIV grand total of 2. In a game that seems to exist primarily to cater to a variety of play styles. Play styles that differentiate individual characters -- let alone their logical contemporaries and counterparts. A game whose primary gimmick is multiple iterations of individual characters.

Rah-rah other characters, but come on... Fair play.

And yet they are quality products. I assure, every version of SF4 has been worth its price tag. The one version that MIGHT not been worth its salt was AE, but that was because of questionable balance changes. The content itself was solid.

I just don't see why multiple versions of a game is bad in of itself. The only valid argument I've seen is that it divides the online community, but if you are the consumer who regularly partakes in the online element, then that also means you're the one most affected by the game's inbalances. That's the guy who 19 times out of 20 wants the new version.
EDIT: for the record, I'm as bent about the on-disc DLC as everyone else. I've written multiple essay-length posts about it on this forum alone. That will never be an excusable practice.
