God of War would be amazing. Except you KNOW they gonna get Vin Diesel as Kratos. Oh well, it will still be good.

Bioshock. Don't know if this was mentioned above but a movie was in the pipeline with Pirates of the Carribean director in charge (Gore Virbinski?). He pulled out and no idea what happened to it.

Gears of War. Mickey Rouke as Fenix. Hell yeah!

Ironically, before Paul Anderson got his hands on it and decided RE should be fanfiction about his wife, they actually DID have a script that was loyal to the first game, y'know, about Chris and Jill in the mansion, written by George fucking Romero of all people.

I hate the Resident Evil movies with a passion. They have absolutely nothing to do with the video games in the slightest bit.

"Oh, I know what Resident Evil is about, it's about some girl named Alice who has super powers, can fight zombies using kung fu, run along the sides of buildings, and jump 20 feet in the air. Then we'll say she has a bunch of evil clones too. That's what the game is about right? No...well fuck the fans then, we're doing it like this anyway"

That's the way the film crew was probably thinking. Then they probably said, "let's throw in Jill and Claire so the fans will shut up but they'll have no major roles in the films and will be second to Alice and her kickass superpowers we gave her. Genius!"

Those movies are really bad, really really bad. Another director who loves to put his wife into every movie he makes is Rob Zombie. Sheri Moon Zombie is in both Halloween movies he did, she's in The Devil's Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses, as well as being one of the lead voice actors in his animated film El Superbeasto. Her role is fine in most of these films, but in Halloween 2 Rob Zombie completely bastardized Halloween's story just so he could have his wife in the movie. They should have let George A Romero do the Resident Evil film, I read about that in Game Informer that he was the original director for the film and had a script already in place that was very scary and similar to the games. I would have loved that. Instead we get a series of films that are trying to compete with The Matrix for the most over-the-top action scenes in a film that no human being could do.

So, that's my little rant, sorry about that.

Syphon Filter would make a great movie.

I may be the only one who thinks this but I believe a Super Smash Bros. game would be pretty if done correctly. NO LIVE ACTION. CGI graphics. I suppose the story could borrow from the Subspace Emissary mode in Brawl, with a few new things here and there so it wouldn't be the exact same thing. It'd be interesting to see how it would turn out.

I would go see it.





Let's talk about Angry Birds though...I REALLY wonder how that's gonna be if it really is gonna be made into a movie. :/

My ideal franchise is the metal gear series if it got the harry potter treatment and covered every game. Problem is all the characters may be too much to comprehend for a film audience

I agree with whoever said the Resident Evil movies are trash. They have nothing to do with the games and focus on a character who doesn't exist.

Sidenote: Did anyone see the latest Resident Evil movie Afterlife? That scene where Chris fights Wesker is completely ripped off from Resident Evil 5. If they wanted to copy the game why couldn't they have copied it's rich story?

I've been waiting, oh, five or so years for the damn Clock Tower movie.
I'm pretty sure it's stuck in development hell, as of now.

They should go back and make a good Resident Evil movie, not made by Paul W.S. Anderson, and not starring his wife, Milla. I'll admit, the first movie was entertaining, but completely irrelevant to the story of the games.

And, for some odd reason, I've always wanted to see a bloody, dark, Quake (1) movie, though I'm 99.999% sure they'd butcher it (like Doom.)
