Sorry, I watch Fight Club for like the 1000th time last night.
Seriously though don't force it, if you can't sleep get up and do something like read a book, write, draw, anything to get your mind going. When you finish you should feel a bit better and you might be able to get some sleep. The worst thing is having insomnia and then letting all of the little noises in the room get to you (for me it's my faulty phone/clock that gives off a buzzing noise).

I used to have that problem, but then I started speed walking on a treadmill at work each day, and my sleeping paterns have improved. Someone already said it, but I'll say it again; exercise during your day, and you'll sleep better during the night.

Shit I think I'm an insomnaic as well, Ive slept about no more than 14 hours this past week, it sucks.

I'm not an insomniac, but I do have a very messed up sleeping pattern. I'll fall asleep anytime from 5am-9am and wake up around 4pm. I thought I was able to break it due to the fact that my family just recently got a dog, but after a week of waking up early, I'm right back to the old pattern.

Umm, what's the topic about?? Oh yeah, insomnia. What I do is watch some TV or read or simply think about some problem in my life that has no solution and try I simply dwell on it.
P.S. Finally somebody decided to at least change the wording of an often repeated thread
