What do you regret the most in your life?

I regret the time I let the girl of my dreams slip away from me when I had longed to meet her for so long.
I never even got just ONE kiss from her.....I feel so lonely...It feels like the entire world is closing in on me and calling me and laughing at the fact that I couldn't even do anything about it.

Don't make one woman think you will be useless in life. You will be a use in life soon, don't worry
I regret playing DVDs on my PS2. The reader fucked up because of that. $200 down the drain.

I regret losing my hope and inspiration. And I regret learning to see the world as it really is and being ripped out of my fantasy.

Forgive and forget. I ask forgiveness and there ya go.
I'm not the type to hold grudges either. If someone does anything that should be offensive to me, and later wants to "be sorry" I won't burn them at all. I give a "Hey Welcome Back!
". It's not fun to give a "You did this___, and now you want me to forgive you!
"; nope, it just makes things harder.
Anyways the only thing I'm really regretting is not being more open about what I want to be in life.

I regret telling one of my friends I really liked her alot, we were pretty close friends, and after that she stopped talking to me for a while. We started talking again, but it's not the same, I can tell she feels weird around me. I am currently trying to get that friendship back.

Wow good luck with that... I did that back when I was in high school. She didn't talk to me for about a year. We were friends again after that but it never went back to the way it was. Now were not really even friends and we don't talk at all.

Yeah she had stopped talking to me for about 4-5 months. I only started talking to her again because we had a class together. I have talked to her twice since we graduated earlier this month, I think I'll talk to her about it soon.

Only thing i is regret not telling people what i really think of them.
Makes me wonder what friends and allies i could have now, and what asskickings i've missed out on.

1) Going as far as I did with my first g'f. That may sound weird, but I value communication and relationships higher than foreplay and intercourse.
2) Losing my enthusiasm for life. Somewhere in the last 18 months I lost the thing that made life as good as it is. I've gone from being fun-loving, and enthusiastic about each day to viewing each day as a challenge and another mountain to climb.
3) Spending too much of my time regretting things instead of moving on with life. (Oh, the irony)

Same here. I certainly regret not tell the girl of my dreams how I felt about her, or asking her out when I had the chance. Even though everyone was telling me that she was interested in me too. I also regret my distrust of people, even those close to me for no reason at all.

Sheesh, where do I begin... Because so many of us are talking about relationships (of which I have countless regrets) I'll talk about my career: I was on the engineering fast track. I got a 5 on the BC Calculus exam in my junior year of high school (not bragging - I'm only stating this to demonstrate how far I will ultimately fall) and I was accepted early admission into Va. Tech. But I was lazy in my senior year and didn't take any math and it hit me when I began college. I hit linear algebra like a brick wall. About the same time I was suicidal and had to be hospitalized. I got an F for the course. I thought my future as an engineer was finished.
My fallback plan was to become a research scientist in the biological fields. I was doing okay in my biology classes, but I had another crisis my junior year and had to leave Va. Tech. I finished my degree at a local college. And now I've been treading water as a laboratory technician for six years because I've been too afraid to go to grad school.
I guess I can't say I really regret any of this. "Regret" implies that a wrong decision was made. Well I made the best decisions I could at the time and tried to make the best of my situation. I guess I regret goofing off my senior year of high school because I thought I had it made going into college. Things might have turned out differently had I not just hung out with my friends half of the day.
*Stitches up vein I just opened*

I've been in the same situation as well, and I've been in it on more than one occassion. My advice to you, Alpha, is to not waste your time talking about it. A girl not being able to be comfortable around you just 'cause you look at her as MORE than just a friend is bullshit. I've been on the receiving end of an "I like you" from a friend, and after telling 'em that I didn't see them that way, I didn't change at all, nor did I act like a 12 year old and stopped talking to them.
Bottom line is, if the girl can't handle the fact that you're attracted to 'em and basically ends the relationship because of that, then she never was a real friend.

I had the same fucking problem, and for that I will never buy any PS2 ever. I've had my XBOX for 2 1/2 years no problem. My PS2 took a crap after 5 months.

WEll I talked to her the other night, and we had a very deep conversation, and I confronted her about it, she apologized and told me she had no intent of making me feel like that, and then we started talking like we used to, I'm so glad I did that, I knew I was taking another rick, but this time it turned out for the better. Thanks for your input Niko and MKS
