Here's one that's bound to get a few guesses.

A corporation stages a fighting tournament, to gauge a candidate for their next project. They brain wash one of the contestants and put the rest of the participants up against a prototype of their latest weapon. Two of the fighters have a personal stake in the outcome of this tournament. The tests prove successful and so when the next tournament comes around said corporation launches a more polished version of the prototype.

Virtua Fighter got little to no story, yet you nailed it pretty good. ^^

Okay, erhm, I'll try and come up with something...

An evil woman with delusions about her own appearance wants to become the most beautiful woman in the world, however, she is told that there is a girl more beautiful than her. This makes the woman kidnap the girl and puts her in a machine in hopes of transferring the girl's beauty onto her. This catches the attention of the girl's brother and his best friend who together go on a quest to rescue the girl and defeat the evil woman.

Very cliché. ;)

It's not hard to encompass the story for Virtua Fighter. The more impressive part is knowing it has one to begin with.


Did you know that in the later games, it is actually Kage-Maru's mother who is Dural? Sarah Bryant was kidnapped and was supposed to be transformed into Dural, but first she had to kill her brother Jacky in the tournament. However, he got her away from it and she slowly regained her memory. Now J6, the company who has the tournament, is out to get Sarah, so Vanessa is hired to protect her.

None of this info is in any of the games... which is pretty sad.

Since no one has started the next round, I'll start it up again.

You're in a tournament that has you competing against many different creatures. I say creatures because majority of them are hardly even human. You can fight your way through each level by earning valuable weapons to protect yourself, earning your way to the tops. Only three places are allowed for you to advance, otherwise you might as well just accept defeat and be known as a terrible player.

I heard that it's best played while you're intoxicated. I mean, it's the only way you can literally drive a car without actually hurting anyone physically.
