With the exception of Super Smash Bros. 4, none of the games I'm anticipating are coming out anytime soon.
To be honest, it will most likely be anywhere between two and six years before any of the games I'm waiting for are released. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy what I already have.

I'm not the one who preordered it, but Infamous Second Son seems to be the only one. I'm just gonna sit back and with what I got and see what they announce at 2014 E3.

I forgot about that one. Yeah I'm looking forward to it, but with no David Hayter it's going to be weird. Still haven't gotten over it. But I don't want to make this a whole thing so I'll list another game.
DriveClub
Now usually, I hate racing games. They bore the shit outta me. But since it will be free on PS Plus I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Thief – Even if they get everything in this game completely wrong, from the world, right down to Garrett himself I don’t really care. I love stealth games and want to support this revival that seems to be happening for the genre right now. Of course that’s not my only motive behind wanting Thief, another reason would be that while playing dishonored something was awoken in me. I found I ended up enjoying simply sneaking past enemies nabbing valuables right out from under their oblivious noses much more than I did silently incapacitating enemies to progress through a stage (though I rarely even did that)
So I want to play a stealth game that focuses more on the stealth aspect as opposed to the silent elimination or evasion of enemies.
Now you could say “hey just play the old ones then” Well I have but here’s the thing. Leaning over my desk splaying my hand out over a keyboard like a spider with my face inches away from my screen is not my ideal way of playing a video game. I much prefer playing a game where I am holding a comfortable controller in my hands and sitting back in a comfy chair and enjoying the game.
Fable Anniversary – I am not someone who often puts graphics first, but in this case, I have no problem being shallow and cashing in for simple cosmetics. See with me it’s the art style. The Fable games have always had this great sort of Disney like art style but have never been done in a time where the tech allowed it to be fully realized. Now however with computer graphics being at their prime I have to see it. I have got to see and re-experience Fable 1 rendered in an engine that can truly flash off the great visual designs of that game and world.
It also goes without saying that if there is a superior version of a game out there I am going to get it. I owned Fable and still went out and dumped the cash for Lost Chapters, so of course I will choose this version over Lost Chapters (especially with all the horrible glitches that occur when you play it on a 360)
Owl Boy – This game gets me right by the SNES nostalgia with its art style and game play. And I have to say it just oozes charm. Check it out if you haven’t heard of it and can still tolerate playing those old hand drawn sprite games from the days of yore.
Hyper Light Drifter – Again it’s the art style and the type of game it promises, it’s just good to see such diversity make a comeback without having to be some big triple A event. Oh and dear god that music.
Wolfenstein The New Order – Wolfenstein was the first video game I ever played, so you could say I am somewhat brand loyal. There hasn’t been one I have let slip past me ever since I could actually start doing something about it. One thing I really love about this series is they are kind of open for anything. They’re kind of like Bioshock in the sense that even though it has the name, it isn’t a static concept, not really. Sure there are a few key staples one being BJ, and the other being Nazis and them usually fooling around in something they oughta have not been fooling in but after that whoever is behind it takes it in some radical crazy direction and I just love that.
>br/>
Evil Within – This game is kind of a big deal people. It’s the first triple A survival horror game to happen since the fat cats like EA and Capcom declared that these games were no longer relevant or financially viable and then took their franchises and turned them into mediocre action games in an attempt to chase after Activisons’ money.
Then Amnesia came along, stuck it’s foot in the door and said “hold on wait a minute we’re not done yet” and since then things have been rapidly going uphill for survival horror and this could be the game that does what Dishonored seems to have done for Stealth games and propel survival horror right back into the mainstream and shows that these games can indeed exists alongside the GTA’s COD’s and Assassins Creeds.
And this is being made by the man who pretty much brought this genre to relevancy in the first place. So I for one am very eager to see what the end result is. So far all is looking well. Taking us from out comfort zone once again and making the player vulnerable instead of being able to handle any situation with a rocket launcher, unsettling atmosphere and environments. Disturbing enemy design etc. Yeah I’m optimistic and am defiantly going to take a leap of faith on this and make it a day one purchase.
Yeah I might be being a tad dramatic “a tad?! HAH!” shut up...
Donkey Kong – you can play as freaking Cranky Kong! The original DK!
Heh seriously though it’s just great to see DK Country games being produced again and sticking to their side scrolling roots instead of going the messy way of Donkey Kong 64.
Metal Gear 5? 0? *shrugs* You know over the past 3 years people have been getting awfully serious about the medium, how story should be done and what a good character is and isn’t, gender politics, industry politics ect and I won’t deny that I too have been swept up by this. I’m not saying that those discussions are a bad thing they certainly aren’t; but, honestly I’m at the point where I am ready to unwind now to just stop (over)thinking so much and taking things far too seriously and oh! I see Metal Gear over there welcoming me with open arms.
Yes I am ready to embrace the absurd, silly, over the top story that lies within a Metal Gear game. I have robbed myself of such pleasures ever since the first game came out because as a kid Tenchu was just more of my thing. So I can’t wait for the hour long exposition riddled cutscenes, the nonsensical super powered villains and cyber ninjas, BRING IT ON BABY! I’M READY!
Deception – So yeah that’s a thing again. This series is coming back from out of nowhere. I thought this series was abandoned with the Playsation but hey I guess not because it’s coming back and I cannot wait!
Transistor – from the creators of Bastion...no I’m not going to say anymore. Do I need too?
Odd World: New and Tasty – and HD remake/revival of one of my favourite platformer’s? How could I live with myself if I didn’t support this. Love ya Abe.
