When ever a MK Vs DCU 2 thread pops up I always say I would rather have a full on DCU game.

I remember a long time ago, a friend of mine had a Street Fighter style DC fighting game. Can't recall the name, I think Justice League of America, but it seemed pretty fun to play. I loved picking Despero, but thinking back on it, had I known he was a boss character, I'd have not played him (he, Cheetah, and Darkseid were playable in 2P mode). I bet a game made for the current generation with the same idea would be awesome!

I do think the art style would make or break it for me. They would have to get either Jim Lee or Ivan Reis in the studio to design every thing. Other wise it could look shitty. NRS is good at making MK partly because they are MK. However, they aren't DC and there last interpretation of DC was under par. It looked too plasticy rather than comic booky.

But, yah they should do it. If NRS is making it I think it would sell well, and it would have a tournament scene because of the MK players and the dc fans.

I would certainly be in favor of a NRS-made DCU fighting game.

You know for all the spines, blood and organs in Mortal Kombat, some fans just seem to be the biggest prudes.

You know whatever those people think, its really clear that they wanted to do something that wasn't MK. Just looking at MK Vs DC, the amount of love put into that game. Imagine if it was hyped up like Marvel Vs Capcom 3...

But yeah DCU: Brawl on Infinite Crisises. Or something...

You know they'll have to make up some sort of tournament with an overseerer that tries to make everything equal. I'm sure I've heard that somewhere before.

I'm not sure what sort of art style they should try. Maybe try to do an oil painting style thing, so it kinda looks like a moving Alex Ross picture.

There was love in MKvsDC but to me it felt more MK like. They need to ditch everything from the gameplay to the art style for a strictly DC fighter.

I also think Alex Ross's style would be impossible in game form, and I just wouldn't want his style for the game. Most of his heroes wear tights, are kind of fat looking, and they tend to look like there in their 40's. I love Alex Ross but I like seeming him doing his non-canon comic work. I don't really wan to see it in a DCU game.

I say make the style kind of like MvC3 except put more emphasis on the ink style of comics.

You are probably right about the possibility of Ross's art style in game.

One thing I wouldn't mind as a "Bonus Colour" of sorts is an old school colouring style with the noticeable dots.

So Roster then? Ignoring the obvious; Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Captain Marvel, Lex Luthor, Joker, Catwoman, Deathstroke, Darksied.

Definetly need to bolster the baddies: Circe or Cheetah, Sinestro, Gorilla Grodd, Black Adam. Lobo was nearly in wasn't he?

Some suggestions of my own for female characters

Miss America (a very obscure character from the Golden Age)
Lois Lane (female joke characters are pretty rare)

Zatanna (I know she was already suggested, but she's one female character I'd particularly love to see in a DC fighting game/MKVDCU sequel)

Jade (one of the Green Lanterns. Maybe she could replace Hal Jordan as the GL).

Huntress
Poison Ivy
Giganta

As for villains: Zsasz, Penguin, and Clayface, just to name a few.

Give me Robin dammit.

Mortal Kombat: Modern Fighter

Just wanted to jump in and say that Alex Ross has a great style IMO.

I've always thought the character should look older. Oh, and they don't look fat. Believe it or not, when you put a muscular dude in tight spandex, the muscles aren't as defined, and he ends up looking a little husky.

It's actually realistic.

I'm all for this. I enjoyed mk vs dc.

Meh, I still prefer Marvel over DC. The only part of the DC Universe I enjoy is the Batman series. So if NRS were to make something Batman related, then I would be all for it. I couldn't care less for Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest... which I have already stated in another thread. :P
