Title explains it all. What heros/villians do you feel the closest too? Be they comic, movie , game what ever!
Well, Hero is obvious, I love my country, an Have a strong sense of American pride, and I have very old fashioned views on modern issues. Duh Captain America.
For a villian I don't really think I could be a villian unless something happened to me. I often leave things up to chance, and could be easily driven mad if something happened to my family. Or if something completely destroyed my reputation. I also have a fond interest in the law and love to see criminals put behind bars. Villian is easier now. Two Face

This is a good thread. Heroes, I'd say Rogue. I got a lot always going on in my mind too. (though that's not an issue for her at the moment) Villains, many. I can relate to any of them that just wants to be stronger and more powerful. The usual macho god complex syndrome.

Villian: The Riddler. I am always making stupid puns and jokes.

Hero: Rorschach.
Not because of he's conspiracy-obsessed or a closet homosexual or whatever. But mainly 'cause he's a regular guy with an unwavering belief i his own absolute morality. The world needs to conform to his definition of 'right'... or die. There's something... relatable about that kind of character...
In close second is Moon Knight. Not sure why, though. I mean, he's my favorite, non-Watchmen, super-hero. But I have no idea why. Maybe its the whole, split-personality thing...
Villain; The Riddler
A bad guy who could get away with every crime he's ever committed, if only he wasn't obsessed with leaving clues. He has to bait the cops into finding him and has to ensure that Batman (or whoever) has some chance of escaping from his death traps. And he's fully aware of this, and he hates it.
Not sure why I identify with that, but... There you go.

Hero:
Azrael - Azrael is arguably the greatest superhero no one has heard about. He carries a lot of baggage, both in the comics and with Batman fans, for being the guy who took over for Batman when Bane paralyzed him during the "Knightfall" story arc. As such, people often claim he's a shallow character created only to promote a marketing event, like Doomsday.
Yet few people have actually read Azrael's mainstream comic. Admittedly, it had a massive decline in quality around issue 50 (when he changed costumes to a rather ugly costume) and the book spiraled to cancellation at issue 100, with poor Azrael seemingly dead.
But, you know how comic book deaths go... That being said, especially at the beginning, Azrael was a great character with immense depth, psychological issues, broken faith, questionable friends, troubled romances, and on the run from the order of assassins he betrayed and left, making for one of the most dynamic, visceral and visually stunning books at the time, and he's one of the characters I can empathize with alot. Like him, I have a hard time "proving" myself to others, my friends constantly backstab me, my relationship with my father is poor, I fail more often than I succeed, and yet I'm still hoping for a better tomorrow.
Villains:
Maybe I just can empathize with guys in cloaks more... anyway, this is Doctor Doom. He needs no introduction.
What I like about him is that, technically, really, he's not a purely evil character. He's a noble villain. His ambitions are similar to those of Alexander the Great and Napoleon. He wants to rule the world. Even Stan Lee admitted that wanting to rule the world wasn't a crime at all.
Doctor Doom also is the leader of his own nation and, surprisingly, his people love him. He's a just, honest, fair ruler...
... but he's still not a good guy. He's consumed with rivalries with others, driven by a lust for power, and he's willing to sacrifice others for the "greater good". He's much like Magneto, where his goals may be honorable, but his methods highly questionable.
Ironically, my favorite interpretation of Doctor Doom was Doom 2099, a future "what-if" storyline in the 2099 universe. Here, Doom was kept alive somehow and woke up in a world gone mad. In this book, Doom was the hero of the world, not because he had changed, but because the world had changed, and he was the "lesser" of two evils. It put his own "evil" in to perspective and made him an outright hero.

I'm not going to go in-depth...
Hero: Rogue (comics, earlier days of her character)
She felt constant anguish, and rejection. Her powers affected her more negatively than most. She later felt immense guilt for what she did to Ms. Marvel, and desperately tried to redeem herself. I wouldn't say my life is similar, but I remember always feeling empathy for the character. She's probably my second favorite X-Men...
Villain: Magneto (One of the deeper comic book characters)
I could go on for hours about his character.

For a hero I would have to go with Spider-Man because I feel very much related to him. Like Peter Parker I lost a loved one who gave me words to live by and it stays with me. I also at times felt out of place with my peers and friends and find myself in and out of different romances with complicated women. When dealing with pressure i'm always quick to crack a smart comment while keeping my cool and I always feel young at heart just like Spider-Man does.
As for Villains I think I'd relate most to the Joker, although not in his practices of mass murder, public executions, and plus being utterly insane. After watching The Dark Knight I could see the method behind his madness. I do feel that many try to control and scheme and deep down i'm against that. Sometimes I like shaking things up when I'm in a crowd of confined people who in my eyes need to lighten up. I have a bit of a twisted sense of humor as well and I can see myself asking people "Why so serious?"

I....feel something...whenever I watch her MK:D fatality where she rips the person's head off with her teeth, spits it out, and laughs. It speaks to my inner savage. She's a raw person with powerful emotions.
I’ve always been drawn to Batman (Bruce Wayne) & the Harvey Dent/Two-Face character. (except the god awful Tommy Lee Jones version)
In some interpertations, Two-Face is a darker version of Batman. At his worst, he still does things for a reason, wanting a similar end result, yet very different methods obtaining it. Going outside the law shooting criminals/people point blank if his darker side wins out. Yet at the same time, he’d go out of his way to do something noble if his good side wins out.
In one way, it’s relatable because it’s very basic human emotions conflicting taken to a literal extreme, how far do you push it?

i was wondering how many people would be totally unoriginal and say 'The Joker' when it came to villains... ik the joker was fucking cool in Dark Knight, but honestly, can you really relate to him? even the comic book iteration...
hero: Wolverine... i'm kind of a loner, but am extremely loyal to the few people i let close to me. i have a past. and i can also have a pretty bad temper.
oh, and i'm short

Well, this is not necessarily because I 100% relate to them or share their feelings or whatever, but there is still something, and most definitely something about them:
Cyclops
Spiderman
Poison Ivy
There are a bit more but I cant fully explain them without writing a bible, lol.

I can.
Life has no meaning, we're all alone, and might as well laugh at it. I definitely can relate to that. Aside from the Joker...I can relate to Dr. Doom, Agent Smith from The Matrix, and Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars.
EDIT: Well, Palpatine may be more wish-fulfillment than actual relation.
I don't relate to heroes. I find some of them admirable, but I don't see myself in any of them.

Not really sure if she is considered a Hero or a Villain, if often depends on the storyline she is in but I feel most akin to Catwoman.
