Obviously that wasn't aimed at anybody, but he hasn't done anything yet, and you're acting like he's murdered somebody. He hasn't done anything, yet you judge him, call him childish names and wish death upon him? Wow, that's great.

It isn't like he said "hey suck me off or i'll tell everybody what was written in this note!". According to the original post, his intention was to get a bit of cheap stationary. Whoa, stationary? That monster!

Some of you need to mellow out. Of course i don't think anything is wrong with saying "if you do this you are a so and so and blah blah blah", but to say "you are a so and so and blah blah blah" is out and out stupid. The people that have said that are in my book, far worse than the thread starter (who by the way i'm not defending, because there isn't anything to defend him against. He hasn't done anything).

But remember, there IS the little fact that SHE offered the bj. When she's the one naming the price for his silence, I don't think it's fair for anyone to consider it rape.

Personally, I can't think of any girl I know who would make such an offer, unless a part of her wanted to do it in the first place. This is not to justify accepting it, or the intention to blackmail her in the first place, and in case you interpretted otherwise from the aforementioned scenario, I believe it would be a VERY tiny fraction of girls who would actually want to give head to someone who tried to exploit them. But I feel the level on which some have crucified Kill_Lots is out of proportion.

By the way, anyone else find it funny that the question in the thread title ("What's the right thing?") contradicts the options he was considering (expose her, or get head)?

Picture this your sister is walking around with 1000$ in her pocket, i snatch it from her and tell her look if you want this money back your going to have to do me a "favor" or two, what would i be doing i would be blackmailing someone into rape. Point final, no way around it. And i am fairly certain you would like to plant me 6 feet under if i tried something like that, am i correct in my assumptions? If so then start thinking with your mind not your head, because that is exactly what this guy is doing to someones sister, daughter, whatever. And i swear i would beat the fuck out of him till it was a requirement that i be arrested, and he in the hospital for reconstructive surgery if it were my sister, or any girl i care for, for that matter. You people have found one of the things in this world that sicken me the most rape and are trying to condone it. I wasn't condoning it, but I don't think it's fair to call it "rape," because the bj was HER idea.

And the scenario you gave really isn't a good analogy. For one thing, he didn't TAKE the note from her, she dropped it, and he picked it up and read it. It's an invasion of privacy, but was not initially intended to be blackmail. Also, he never asked for any sexual favors, nor did he intend to; as I said, SHE offered the bj.

As for the point of what if it was my sister, well, first, I'm not overly protective of my sister. Second, my sister would never make such an offer, and if that demand was placed on her, then it becomes a whole new ballgame, because that's not what happened here. If it were a different girl I cared about, first of all I'd ask her why she would make an offer like that to an asshole who would blackmail her.

The point is, I can't imagine any girl setting herself up so easily for the kind of violation many of you have percieved. If I haven't made my point clear enough, SHE OFFERED THE BJ. The only way I could imagine anyone with the remotest vestige of self-respect doing that is if she wants to, at least sub-consciously. Either way, it doesn't amount to rape, at least in my mind.
