IMO, the oringinal Shining.
Saw it for the first time when I was about 7 and it traumatized me.
That and the original Salem's Lot.

Scariest movie I ever saw was Evil Dead, which really wasn't that scary, which says something about horror movies. I'm hopeful for "SILENT HILL", though, which is by the team who did the game. If anyone can pull of transferring the horror from game to screen, they can. Fatality.

Stephen Kings Pet Cemetery scared the shit out of me when I was 13, never been so scared before or after that.
Guinea Pig is very disturbing if you dont know that its actual a fictive movie.
And I was very scared of "The Ring", I saw a hundred horror movies before, but that really scared me, I was afraid to watch a video tape of a football game the evening I watched "The Ring".

Any movie with Chuckie in it (that little doll)

Movie (dont remember which) seriously fucking traumitized me for life, saw it when I was like 4.Been scared of dolls since. But only really when im alone,or I know they are there and its completely dark.Damn chuckie. If someone threw a doll of him at me while I wasnt expecting I would probably rip its head off or something along those lines.Damn Chuckie, stupid doll.

Other then that, not many movies are scary anymore. The only time I get freaked out by movies nowadays is if there is dolls that move.Or if there is little girls in white dresses and shit (like the ring and feardotcom),pretty funny cause the ring didnt really freak me out.Everyone told me it was scary as hell, and I watched it and it wasnt even bad.

@ rabid wolverine: A friend of mine is a pansy sissy boy about horror movies (he was afraid when he watched "House on haunted hill"), but when we watched "Ring", it was boring to him.
So, youre not the only one who wasnt scared.

Pet Cemetary, one part scared me,when the kid jumped out of the attic onto the guy.Reminded me of Chuckie too much.

Never seen or heard of Guinea Pig.

And I dont see how people were so scared of the ring.

Guinea Pig is a Japanese movie, ca. 40 minutes long. It was filmed in the late 80s. When FBI agents got there hands on that movie, they thought it would be a real Snuff movie and they started an investigation. After that this movie is always selled with a making of , that nobody thinks that again. It's about a woman getting tortured by 3 guys, and the make up effects and stuff are so realistic...
If you put that movie on a tape, show to your girlfriend and tell her, you found it in the streets, she will be definitly shocked and disturbed. If you think, its real, its the hardest stuff you can see.

Eh! Cause everyone; you, me, him, his dog, Papa Smurf, Destro, Hulk Hogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage,.... the ant scurrying across my desk and even that scary tree outside my window has used it. Time to use another horrid movie to replace it.wink

How about The Fast And The Furious?tongue

I actually thought of a good group of people who could do it. The people who wrote and directed Ginger Snaps could pull off the Silent Hill look, all they would need is one badass script. Also of the 4 titles out (I haven't played The Room yet, but I plan to soon) I'd say the easiest to adapt to the silver screen is Silent Hill 2. Then, if that were to be succesful I would do two movies based off of 1 & 3.

As for scariest movie.... I donno... I'm not scared by really good scary movies but intrigued. With that said two of my favorites are The Shining, and Jacob's Ladder (more sad than scary though).

Yeah! Jacob's Ladder was really wierd at first, but once you realized that he wasn't aware that his soul was in limbo and everything that he saw was trying to tell him that he was dying. What gave it away was Danny Aiello's character being his 'angel', or at least that's how I interpreted it. Really good movie.

Yeah the movie was really trippy. I'm not going to lie, I saw the movie for the first time a couple of years back and actually teared up at the end. It was just one of those movies that is almost TOO sad.
