I hear what you are saying, as I am in exactly the same situation - Been here for a couple years and nobody knows me, and slip-side it, I don't know anyone here either. But I don't get cut about it nor do I attack on threads like this.

Just let them be mate! These threads popup every month, and they always will.

I am not here to make friends, if I was then I would use the chat that they all use and get to know each other on.

I am here to be part of the discussion forums and hear what people have to say on certain things, and also to have my own say. Oh, and also because I have grown up with MK and love it.
