Hey ErmacDaddy, I understand how you feel, this is nothing more than a popularity contest. And how wel do you think you can get to know someone in here?? You can talk with allot of people but you can never really get to "know" them.

I feel that really learning about someone is by meeting them in real life and seeing what they are like. I was here 3 years ago under the name of ScorpionsBrother and had over 2600 visits, and it doesn't make much of a difference, sometimes your in someone's cool book and sometimes not.

I just come here for updates and a few laughs and to post my opinions, but not to be populair.

I don't like doing poularity contests, but here's my list anyways...

FLSTYLE - Man knows about football (soccer for you uninformed people.) He seems like a cool guy, participated in my quiz and likes Sub Zero - seems like we have a lot in common.

Cooler_Cero - All round nice guy, knows much about stuff, and actualy TALKS in the irc trivia channel. One half of only 2 people that have beaten me in the trivia irc.

Anyanka - The other half, this girl knows WAAAY too much about MK, but she is pretty cool. Plus then I'd get to play on her MK arcade cabinets...

Dark_No0B - Cool guy, lives in Toronto and goes to most of the places I like to go. We chat throught the pm a lot, funny thing is we could walk right past each other and not even know it!

travelingwilbury - I like this guy, he is a nice person. Did well in my quiz and definitely someone I'd like to know more about.

^*Jade*^ - Kick-ass girl, she likes soccer and actualy knows a lot about it! During Euro 2004 she would talk to me about Italy, and knew her sh*t - very impressed. Plus she likes karate, ^*Jade*^ is well cool. (Plus she's Italian, can't get enough of the Italian girls, lol)

Mk_FrEaK - Loses points for leaving me off his list But he's definitely cool, too bad he's never on MSN

tgrant - Talk to him in the trivia IRC somtimes, and often shares similar ideas to me. Always full of smart, developed theories and I like what he has to say. Plus he's English!!

Broduer - Another kickass person, Canadian and all round chillin guy.

Sachmis - Don't really know her, but she seems cool, plus she has a sick avatar and likes to draw.

And last but not least ~Crow~ - Definitely cool, talks to me about stuff in the trivia IRC and is a good guy. Spends the time to talk, and is very friendly.

Oh and I would like to know more about anyone who particitpated in my quiz, you all did very well - I was surprised by how much you guys knew. I am in the early stages of making the second one so look out for that in the General Discussion forum!

And I'd like to know more about anyone who likes footbal (soccer), mainly the people in the Euro 2004 thread, I was happy to see lots of fans of the best sport on the planet.

To address this "popularity issue", my goal in creating this thread was for everyone, those considered popular or not, to try to get to know each other better. It's natural for some to gravitate towards those they know from numerous conversations here, some have indicated that they wish to know more about people they haven't even spoken to, but know of.

Now this is what I have noticed! Primarily, those who have and porbably will respond to this thread have been those who are "veterans" of MK5.org/MKO. Perhaps if those who haven't been here long or feel left out that they weren't mentioned should put themselves out more by actually posting who they would like to know more and why. It's easy for people to say things like this, but not sieze upon an opportunity for people to see that they want to be known and get to know people.

It's understandable why some may feel this way and like Temp said in a previous thread, this place seems to feel like High School. Well, the only thing I can say is put yourself out more! Others will see that you're actually interested and maybe would recognize you more often when they see your name in a thread.

These threads should be banned like religious threads. I have nothing wrong with talking about any topic, but on this website it seems we cannot have a civilized conversation without some people turning it into a playground free-for-all. I know it's like that no matter where you go on the internet, but we have a really great group of people here. We should keep all the personal shit off the forums because it always turns into a bitchfest. Sorry to have gone off like this, but I needed to let you all hear how I feel. I love this site, and most of the people in it. Why do we need to single out our favorites? If you really like someone, and want to know more about them do it in pm. Let's keep this site a place where MK fans can get together and talk about their interests. After all, it's why this site was started in the first place.
