Rakim: a rap legend, sadly very few people who claim to be fans have actually heard of, or heard him
Notorious B.I.G.: one of the greatest when it comes to flows
Tupac: has to be put in this list, almost obligatorily, which is kind of bull... his newer stuff (which I'm not even 100% sure is actually Pac in the studio) isn't that great IMO... All Eyez on Me was personally my favorite
Jay-Z: don't say that he's just top 40 and all that bullshit... anyone who says that obviously only listens to the radio and MTV and not his actual CDs
Nas: his overall career isn't that great, whether underground or mainstream but it has to be noted that Illmatic is one of the few truly great albums ever
Ghostface Killah: one of the best storytellers in rap... paints a vivid picture in his verses

I dont know why you dont want to hear eminem, He is possibly the greatest lrycist in history.
Personally I dont like BIG or Pac, their flows are off and I didnt like their styles. Which I why I find it funny you said he had great flow, cuz BIG barely had any IMO. Oh well
my favs, (in place of thought provoking lryics)
Jay-z
Eminem
Lil Wayne (listen to his new album before you say anything)
Canibus
Nas
theres so much rap its pretty hard to think of them all. Theres more though

Eminem is a sissy,he came out as a clone of Tupac but a more stupid clone. The day he had the record deal,he start sticking his finger, why did he do that, did anyone troubled him? He began cursing his mother on the other album and telling kids how to commit suicide. He's even trying to be Tupac,he even said "Tupac is the greatest rapper of all time." He pretended to be bad but when the troubles came his way,he pretended to be funny. Tupac was a one thug,a true man, even remembered up to this day.

I don't give a damn about rap. But I would say Eminem is my favorite. At least he isn't a typical rapper who raps about Bling Bling, how cool it is to be rich, hang'in with my homies, booty hooty or all those other typical rap bullshit.
