true man, if midway had to stop makin games cuz some little queef broke his neck doin sonyas flip, i'd go f***in crazy! if adults cant keep a close eye on their kid, its not MK's fault. i mean, its not everyday you see a kid shooting fireballs out of his hand, or frezzing stuff, or teleporting with electricity. if a kid ever does that, then mk can be stopped.

Some adults just don't want to accept the fact and responsibility that they fucked up by not watching their kid and their kid got injured, or killed so they go "It's these video games!", "It's Mortal Kombat!", "It's Grand Theft Auto!"... I wish they would just finally say "I'm a bad parent!".

Videogames are just the universal skapegoat right now. "Grand Theft Auto made me shoot up my neighborhood" There is your get out of jail free card. If parrents raised their kids right this wouldnt be happening. Popular culture should not be a skapegoat for fucked up kids. Its the parrents fault for not educating them. Mind you i didnt say shield them from any kind of profanity or violence, but teach them whats wrong.

In my opinion little kids can play GTA if they are tought that this is a game and understand the reprocussions for doing somthing stupid in "real life"

its not MK or "violence in the system" that fucks a kid up. I was born in 90 and mastered Rayden (fatalities and all) at the tender age of 2. since then, I have been more than obsessed with the game and its story since it came out. I could name every character in chronological order with my eyes closed, my hands tied behind my back, and my nuts in a vice grip. but you don't see me gutting people, jacking cars, or stealing souls

I say that MK MUST be stopped. thousands ofkids die by being frozen to death, and electrocuted, millions are injured due to spears stuck in their chest. MK is very bad. every 30 heart beats, a person dies by being burned, screamed, sliced, frozen, or electrocuted.

MK is not the source of violence in my point of view, its all that delusionnal perception of false truth of your society that is at fault. Like the matrix your toughts and emotions are controled by a higher being, in this case CNN and all other news medias including the governement wich gives you only lies and cruel stories of murder and destruction just to get higher ratings.
This after drives us to think that whe are not safe in your society since in any moment a angry student might come to our school to kill everyone or that Ben Laden is planning to blow up your basement at any moment. That said let fear turn you to the darkside of life, or maybe you are already there since you have an armed weapon in your arm at this moment for self defense.

Gotta love this old arguement.....MK can not be blamed for violence. People have been killing each other for years before Midway created that first Mortal Kombat game. Was Mortal Kombat to blame when a teenager climbed a clock tower on the University of Texas campus with a rifle? Was Mortal Kombat to blame when a group of people drank poisoned kool-aid on the order's of their spiritual leader in the middle of a jungle? Was Mortal Kombat to blame for millions of men, women and children being gassed, tortured, starved, etc in certain camps? What about the crusades? Witchhunts? Roman 'sporting' events? Cain and Abel? Violence has always been around and will most likely always will be. It's how people handle that violence is what's changing. It use to be the person who actually who shot the gun, stabbed the person, etc who was blamed and punished. Today it is TV, movies, video games, etc are to blame and punished for someone, which the creators most likely never even met or heard of, actions. The problem is not the entertainment but the people's shift in defining responsiblity.
