But seriously, I haven't been here long enough to really qualify. Why not give it to one of the vets who have been here since the dawn of the site. There are numerous users from the gamers.com days who are much more qualified than me. My vote easily goes to Ghaleon.

But just so you know, I'm sure if you guys truly knew what I would be like as a mod, I don't think you would want me for the part. I'd probably be a lot stricter than you think. I'd most likely be labeled "Forum Nazi" before the day is done. Thankfully, the site I moderate at currently has pretty good conduct, and usually all I need to do is issue warnings and close threads. Most of the serious shit happens outside of my time zone, so there really isn't much I can do about that.

But Jonin will only appoint a mod if one is necessary. Let's just wait and see what happens.

Even though you all seem to be nominating very good people to be mods, first of all I think we should a) find out if there's actually going to be another mod, and b) find out who ACTUALLY WANTS to be a moderator. I'm sure many people want this responsibility, but maybe not everyone is prepared to just be thrust into that kind of position.

That being said, if Temp, Ghaleon, MKS, or even queve wanted that, they've got my vote.

So, who reading this actually *wants* to be a moderator and feels they could handle:

A shedload of work ( a lot of portal guards were removed for lack of doing any work at all ),

Lots of responsibility,

Being unbiased to people (even your friends, whom you would have to ban if they messed up...not an easy thing to do),

And not clouding personal feelings and beliefs with duty on the forums?

Secrecy and non-disclosure is another thing *definitely* required.

Mind you, this does not mean we'll choose anyone who steps forward, hell, we've not even discussed it yet amongst staff if we even *need* anyone else.

I'm just wondering and am curious on people's response is all.

If Starwinderbeta were still here, he would fit that description perfectly.

But I think it would be better to ask if anyone DOESN't want to be a mod. Keep in mind, moderator is a highly prestiged position. I don't think anyone would turn that down. Whether can handle or not is up for debate.

I'd like to think that my posse here would expect nothing less from me, the same way I'd expect the same should one of 'em ever become a mod. I won't deny I'd like the "job", but I'm well aware that there are a couple of other forum members who are MUCH more qualified than I am for the job, and they'd each have my support

well i will just tell the truth if i was mod i would abuse my power mmmmmmmmmm power(even though you wouldnt choose me in the first place) about half the people on here would be banned for no reason. I am hungry

I'm a mod on two other forums, and trust me it is NO picnic. In fact, it is freaking hard work. Knowing when to lock down a thread, delete a post, edit a post, as opposed to letting free speech reign is tough.

In my time here (which, despte the new-ness of this account, and my visit count, I have been frequenting this place under other names for over 2 years) I'd say Hyuga or TemporaryUserName would fit the bill perfectly.

And anybody who thinks that being a mod would be cool, it's fricking hard. Jonin made it sound a lot easier than what it really is.
