I don't hate him, but I feel he is being put up as an icon when he hasn't done anything revolutionary. That, and that weird growl/screech noise he makes when he sings annoys the hell out of me.

Lil Wayne is immensely talented. People dislike him for the same reasons people dislike Eminem: not very good ones.
The fact that he actually makes Birdman tolerable on a track is a massive accomplishment in itself.

I didn't think it was possible to hate Taylor Swift in all of her wholesome, girl-next- door cuteness. Granted her music is dripping with pop-country adolescent naivety and nostalgic love songs so, while I don't really care for her music as a result, I still think she's kinda cute in that "Mom would approve of me dating you" type of way.

Kanye West is an egomaniacal megalomaniac but he still puts out some tolerable music which has thus far been enough to stave off my coordinated assassination attempt. One day though Mr. West...one day.

Oh and yeah, the thing about hating Lil Wayne is that I don't even care enough about Lil Wayne to hate the guy. There's a lot of hip-pop artists out there like that though.
