Silly Hyuga, I never said he was ignorant. I said he SUCKED.

Sucked, as in his ability to sing and dance, which he lacks amazingly. And I'm not jealous, or at least not jealous of him. If I were jealous of somebody that has appeared in that show this season, it would be George Huff. Now THAT dude can sing (won't say much of his dancing -a.k.a., his "mini-bounce"- though).

The reason why William has gotten so much attention is 'cause so far, he has (without a doubt) been the WORST audition in the show's history. I DO give him props for having the balls to try out, and if he does go foward with those singing lessons...well, all he can do is improve, I guess.

As for him being more intelligent than all of us...good for him. But if he's that smart, I say he makes a name for himself by doing something that shows off his smarts instead of making a huge fool of himself.

The music industry has received very little good press in the last several years, and I don't see how giving a no-talent "singer" like William a record deal will change that.

See, my thing is this. There were (literally) THOUSANDS of crappy auditions for the show, several of which we didn't even get to see. Why'd they (and I'm not only talking about the people behind AI, I mean the media in general) pick him out of the crowd? 'Cause his was (monumentally) the worst.

He did a terrible job, and IMO, that should've been it. But no, now he's gonna have a CD. I know I'm not forced to buy, let alone listen that CD, but as much as I've tried, I haven't been able to completely escape the media attention he's received, media attention I personally believe he does NOT deserve.

I know this will all eventually be over. I just wish that it didn't begin at all.

Hyuga best part of that article is the end, he walks off with some chick he just met while doing the interview...And yes, he is very smart.

I am not jealous of William Hung one bit, why in the hell would I be? And no I do not think he is ignorant, I could care less if he barely knew how to speak English at all, even if he was a horrible singer who spoke perfect English, people would still feel the same about him. When I think of it I can name off hundreds of "popular" music where good singing seems to be in short supply. Britney Spears and also most Punk and Hardcore music that requires more screaming then actual vocal prowess. People tend to defend these types of music by stating that the lyrics are "profound" or the instruments are played very well. Well, he has people to write so called "good" lyrics and a superb band to play backround instrumentals. I say it's beautiful in a hokey democratic dream sort of way, and why must people always look at his many faults I think it would be much easier to just not look. Remember what your mom used to say "If you can't say something nice dont say anything at all".
