Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash is in talks with Sam Raimi ... Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, and Nightmare on Elm Street all mized into one movie? Yeesh ... that'll either blow hard or be the best thing to happen to horror in a looooong time.

I can't see Ash fitting in with the other 2. What's the point? What would the plot be?

I enjoyed Frddy Vs. Jason. But now they they are in the talks to add Ash i dont know if its a good thing. I would prefer to see another character. Maybe Michael Myers.

My thoughts exactly.

I'd rather just see another stand-alone Evil Dead flick than have Ash thrown into the mix with Freddy and Jason. I'd end up watching it anyway, though.

they should make a movie of the comics-Jason Vs. Leatherface

One of the original endings for Freddy vs. Jason involved the two fighting in a very dark place. Freddy puts his claw back on his hand. He sees Jason near him, machete gleaming. They go at each other...but then, chains shoot out, slicing into both of them. They're separated, struggling to go at each other...when out from the darkness comes Pinhead and he says "Now. What seems to be the problem?" However, New Line didn't like the idea because they didn't like the fact that they'd have to buy the rights to use the character, and they thought Pinhead was too low rent.
I wish they would've kept this ending, as I think Pinhead is the perfect tie-in. Hellraiser is definitely a piece from the same period with the same calibre of camp mixed with slash.

Wow, i didnt know such an ending existed. That would have been awesome if they would have kept it.

VERY interesting, but again, I personally would prefer someone much more recognizable, and when it comes to this genre, after Freddy and Jason, I don't think anybody's as recognizable as Michael.

That would have owned. Where did you hear about that ending?

That would've been awesome.
Anyway, I thought this Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash deal has been proven to be bullshit millions of times? Until I see an actual quote from Sam Raimi or Bruce Campbell on this, instead of these ''rumour has it that the studio is in talks with'' cat crotch, I'll remain a firm believer that this is bullshit.

They should make a movie about something that hasn't already been done 40 fucking times over, that would be really dandy.
I'm sick of these sorts of movies, what happened to having your own ideas and being original? Instead of making horror movies based on characters invented 20 years ago who have completely lost any of their shock value by now, they should try making a brand new horror movie with something none of us have ever seen before. Freddy Krueger (for example) may have been cool when I was 5, but now he's just a boring worn out character.
The funny thing about that whole rant is the fact that I still really want to see Alien vs Predator since I grew up with both of those and used to like both series, nice little contradiction there

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
A vs P, Freddy vs Jason, these movies would be cool, if they woulda made them 15 years ago when ppl gave a shit... When I was young, both these movies would have been a dream come true...but no...instead they wait until neither franchise has released a movie in a long time (ok not Jason X) and decide they need some bank so let's 'Have a crossover to boost old and new merch!!!'
Die plz. This is whoring at it's absolute best.
Now if I may contradict myself, Freddy vs Jason was actually a pretty good movie!

*Applauds*
Very true man. I remember being about 10 or so and seeing the old AVP arcade game and thinking "I hope they make a movie of that". Here we are 10 years later, Predator hasn't had a sequel in even more time than Aliens (Resurrection sucked, partly why I want to see if AVP is a redeemer). They leave it far too late.
If I had to say 1 good thing about the delay - Atleast the effects are amazing, definately wouldn't have been 15 years back (Alien 3 anybody?).
I didn't really like Freddy vs Jason, although I did think it was cool towards the start where Jason snaps that chick/dude (can't even remember) in half while they're laying in bed

It was a dude
Anyway...
If there is to be a sequal to FVJ (shoot me, I'm lazy) why bring in Ash. I really don't see how he can really affect the story in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I liked Army of Darkeness and both Evil Deads, but it like saying "Hey, let's make this peanutbutter and jelly sandwich better by adding mayo." (Ok so my analogies suck a bit today). I could understand bringing in Pinhead (that ending M4C metioned would have been perfect) or another 80's horror icon like Myers. Hell I could understand bringing in Tommy from the Friday the 13th series and Alice from Nightmare on Elm Street series (I'd prefer Nancy, but she's dead), but Ash????
And while on the subject of FVJ, at first I liked it. But after a while the movie got on my nerves do largely in part to the dialogue and the fact that the teens where able to figure everything out about the two(how I don't know).
As for AVP, read what I already wrote about it in other threads. I don't feel like writing it out for the fourth time.

Go to The U.S. Internet Movie Database. They list pieces of trivia and other interesting factoids for movies. That's where I found the alternate ending to Freddy vs. Jason.
Anyone else with me in saying Evil Dead 4 is a higher priority than FvJvA?
