The Bush administration got warnings from intelligence in numerous countries in August, 2001 that terrorist attacks were likely to occur in the near future. Also, Clinton officials left many warnings that an attack using hijacked planes against government buildings was very likely. So don't give me that bullshit that this war is Clinton's fault. Remember what Richard Clark said? OUR ADMINISTRATION FAILED US BY NOT PREVENTING THE 9/11 ATTACKS! The Bush admin. didn't use the information it had properly, or 9/11 probably wouldn't have happened.

Oh, and get this: Ralph Nader, who is ideologically the polar opposite of Bush and the Republicans, proposed a plan in 1987 that would, had it been implemented, have made 9/11 impossible. By increasing plane ticket prices about 50 cents, adjustments could have been made to planes that would have made cockpits IMPENETRABLE to passengers. The 9/11 hijackers never would have been able to get into the cockpit; most of those 3000 people who died on 9/11 would still be alive today, and we probably wouldn't be at war (unless Bush found some other excuse). But this plan was shot down by the Republicans.

How can increasing plane ticket costs by 50 cents solve anything? The extra money would have been used to make the cockpit doors IMPENETRABLE to passengers. What did the 9/11 hijackers sneak on board to force their way into the cockpits? Boxcutters. BOXCUTTERS. I guarantee you, whatever could have been used to get into the cockpit, had Nader's plan been implemented, would have been a hell of a lot harder to sneak on board than fucking boxcutters.

And regarding Richard Clark, it's not like he was playing the blame game; he said: "Your government failed you; those entrusted with protecting you failed you; and I failed you." Yes, he's willing to shoulder some of the blame himself. The point is, the Bush administration HAD the information to prevent 9/11; it may not have been as clear as "Hijackers will fly such-and-such planes into the World Trade Center and Pentagon on 9/11/01," but we knew Osama was up to no good; we knew terrorist attacks were likely; we knew hijacked planes were likely to be involved. I trust Clark when he says that the government should have been able to put the pieces together sooner. Oh, and I'm sure it didn't help that Dubya was on one of his month-long vacations in Crawford, Texas when a lot of the information was coming in back in August 2001.

Since 9/11, the Bush administration has used our fear to take away our civil liberties, set itself up, in the eyes of many Americans, as the nation's only hope against terrorism, and start a war that will make huge profits for the corporations that helped put Bush in power. The "War on Terror?" It's bullshit. You don't fight a war on an abstract noun. You fight a war on a country, on people. A war on a noun will fail. It'sd like the war on drugs; as long as there are people who want drugs, there will be people who will get them those drugs, one way or another. Globalislamicmedia has been for quite some time the semi-official mouthpiece for Al Qaeda, posting announcements of new publications, magazines, communiques, and other material distributed by Al Qaeda to its militants.

If the postings on the Arabic language internet message boards frequented by Al Qaeda are any indication, then is appears that the warning bulletin issued to law enforcement officials throughout the nation last week should be taken very seriously. The bulletin highlighted the possibility that terrorists might try to bomb buses and rail lines in major U.S. cities this summer.

The FBI and Homeland Security Department sent a bulletin Thursday night, with special focus given to terrorists attempting to conceal explosives in luggage and carry-on bags, such as duffel bags and backpacks.

A senior federal law enforcement official, speaking Friday on condition of anonymity, said recent intelligence, coupled with the deadly March 11 commuter train bombings in Madrid, has increased the level of concern about a potential attack in the United States.

The bulletin did not specify a particular city that might be targeted.

Al-Qaida and other terrorist groups have "demonstrated the intent and capability" to attack public transportation with a variety of bombs, including suicide bombers, the bulletin says. Such attacks have occurred in Israel, Greece, Turkey, Spain and elsewhere.

The bulletin says that a "viable" explosive constructed of ammonium nitrate and diesel "could be concealed in standard luggage."

The following posting appeared on an Arabic language message board yesterday, urging militants to join in “the jihad tourism season in America and Europe”.

Earlier today, analysts with the Northeast Intelligence Network located a message posted this morning on one of the Arabic language jihad forums soliciting funds for support of their organization un the UK. We have forwarded the information to the appropriate authorities in both the US and the UK.

The funds solicitation called for individuals to send donations to their nonprofit business bank account registered in Great Britain. We are redacting part of the information so as not to interfere with the investigation by the authorities.

I agree with him for the most part. But the fact he thinks hes doing the work of god is just plain ridiculous. If there is such a thing as god (and i dont believe there is) then im pretty sure he would not allow one to take innocent lives for him. no matter what religion. with that said, the points he brings up about America being just as bad could not be more correct. Then againt two wrongs don't make a right (as cheesy as that may sound it's absolutly true). but what are they to do? They're cornered. U.S is the strongest country in the world. simply standing by isn't going to stop them. They bombed my country. For no reason. Simply to aid a lesser country near us in their quest for vengence.
