Besides, dial-a-combos can be anything from 2-hit combinations onward, and there are plenty of those in Tekken. Any time you tap out preset combos, it's a "dial-a-combo", such as King's D+RK+LK, LK, LK, LK. They don't necessarily have to be long strings, such as 10 hitters. The same goes for MKD.

ShingoEX,Tekken mostly also uses "dial-a-strings".The fact that when the first hit connects,the rest of the remaining hits aren't necessarily guaranteed.In MK:DA and MK:D,everything is guaranteed upon the first hit connects as far as dial-a-combos are concerned.So they're basically like Tekken's 10-hit strings,just guaranteed and with less damage.

Breaks ensure that those hits aren't guaranteed...well, for 3 attempts, anyway.
