About Me

To anyone who cares, I'm not banned. I left of my own accord. This place is dead to me now.

Can you remember it? Mine was INXS, Listen Like Thieves. That was in 1985, I believe, which would have made me 11 or 12. I got it on tape (didn't get my first CD player until 1990). Think about your first venture into music, and think about how much your musical tastes have changed since then, if at all.

First album that I bought for myself was Appetite for Destruction...I actually bought it from an older kid at my daycare school who picked it up for me (I didn't think that I could convince my parents).

I was only 5 years old when I first heard that album (thanks again to my older brother and the fifth graders at the daycare center) and I made sure that that would be my first purchase...God, those kids warped my immature mind.

I used to listen to my dad's cd's all the time while I was growing up because he got me hooked on alot of the stuff he liked. The first cds I bought that were truly mine were Drowning Pool: Sinner, Dr Dre: Chronic 2001, and Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory. If you think thats a strange mix of music you should see my collection now, as it includes Mozart, Simon and Garfunkle, Vader, Marylin Manson, The Beatles, Sting, Seal, Gloria Estefan, Dimmu Borgir, Metallica, Megadeth... amongst many others grin I am an eclectic what can I say.

This is going to sound made-up, but I swear it's the truth:
The only music CD I ever bought, was the Mortal Kombat Original Soundtrack.
I bought it for 25 bucks (49 guilders, at the time).
I was saving up for weeks to buy it.

Other than that, I never bought a single music CD, ever.
I was planning on buying Puddle of Mudd's second album, but it wasn't worth it, listening to the tracks on MTV's site, so I decided to download it instead, as I do all my music.

I seriously don't plan on buying any music CD, except for maybe Puddle of Mudd's Come Clean album (which I got from a friend, a copied CD).

My first album was "Demanufacture" by Fear Factory when I was about 10 or so. The MK movies soundtrack is what sold the CD for me, I loved Zero Signal when I heard it and have been into metal ever since.
