Yea it's going to be hard for Boon to completely cut out any MK references from his games. Do you think the WB was like "Ed, you can only make another MK game if you first give us a quality DC universe one."?

I'm gonna say no because this game is Netherealms big shot to say that they can make other quality games besides MK. I think by adding an MK character into the mix may....spoil it, if you will.

I'd say keep them separate for now, If Injustice is successful enough to become a franchise then maybe in the future.

If they were to do a guest character I'd want Cole Macgrath from Infamous. He has lots of options with his powers and had a line of comics by DC.

Having Cole would be cool, but if Injustice were to have a lightning character, they may probably go with Static Shock.

They'd probably make him a Playstation exclusive like Kratos was. Considering how Infamous is a Playstation exclusive title

I'm definitely not against it, but I'm sure most fans would disagree. If you think about it, Kratos and Freddy could have definitely been left out. OK Kratos I understand, but Freddy.. just seems out of place even now. I've stopped using him like a week he was first released as DLC.

Personally, I'd like to see Scorpion as a hidden playable, meaning he is only a playable character that can be used against the CPU and online, not like MK9 where you were sometimes forced to fight Freddy and Kratos in Arcade mode.

It takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to create fighting game character. I'd rather that money be used to expand the DC universe into the fighting game realm. Guest characters really don't get that much use online or in tournament anyway. Freddy is a top ten character, and there's only two pros using him (only one with any success). Plus, they make games feel that much more dated later on. Look at Soul Calibur 4. SC2's Link is the grand exception, but it'd take an essay to explain why he doesn't count.

This goes double for console-exclusive characters.

Cole is already in SFxT and Playstation All-Stars... and fuck guest characters for real. At the very most, a MK character... but I'd prefer more DC characters.

Also, Injustice already has two "lightning characters". Shazam and Black Adam. Lightning doesn't get any cooler than the "Shazam!" lightning blast.

I kinda like his whole villain to scrub to badass anti-hero deal. He and Deadshot made a pretty cool team.

i love mk but dc needs a fighting game of there own to compete against marvel vs capcom and if this is as great as it is looking we may see a great franchise with the property.

Static Shock would be fuckin cool. Speaking of future things, I wonder if they will ever put in a Batman Beyond outfit. That would have been sick. Totally would have preferred that over the Arkham City costume. Or just have Terry as a whole separate character.

This pretty much sums up my feelings towards MK inclusions in this game. I hope they just stick with the amulet as a background easter egg and keep it at that. I really dislike immersion-breaking cameos, like Krueger in MK.

I wouldn't a secret fight against Scorpion and Sub-Zero just give them their MK9 moveset and then you could fight them like classic Noob in MK9.

Not playable though because I know everyone will use them online and it will defeat the purpose of a DC game when every match you play online involves Mortal Kombat.
