Wow, after getting online today and seeing these horrible news articles on every front page about the Colorado shooting where 12 people were killed and over 50 were injured including little kids, it makes me think that the NRS/WB should DEFINITELY show some support for the family members and maybe even dedicate something within the game to the people that lost their lives/injured, in some respectful way. I'd hate to see this as a horrible omen for the game/franchise's success; they should list them in the game as "In Memory of ..." since they are fans and helped DC's profits. As big a story as it is, it's definitely going to be a historical memory years to come. Also some kind of donations I think would be very nice on their behalf, those familys are probably not even thinking about medical/burial expenses over their losses right away. I feel really awful for those people and their families.

What do you guys/gals think?

Yeah, I think NRS should include that, too.

It seems only right that they do it.

It's such a shame that there are actual people who are willing to make the conscious decision to do something that vile.

Shut up about the shooting. It's sad, but come on, everyone is giving their condolences to not look like a heartless bastard.

It might be a bit obtuse for an unrelated fighting game to connect itself to what is certainly a tragic event, but not something that has any obvious connection to the product, divisions, or makers. WB are probably better handling it with departments closer to the product. A more appropriate and sincere gesture, I think.

I agree Mick, after thinking about it, it might bring back bad memories everytime people see it in the game; so it might not be such a good idea at all.

I just hope they don't force NRS to scrap Joker or Bane's inclusion over this; like the films did with the Twin Towers and eliminating it's use; which I doubt they'd do. In this case, the Joker's probably involved with 1 of the main story plots and they'd have to fully reconstruct this whole game pushing it's release date back further.

I don't think they would do that it's like if they were to remove Bane and Joker from the comics all together.

And now, you look like a cold, spineless, heartless man. People lost their lives, and you're more worried about poeple trying to cover the darkness. I dont think you're happy that 12 people died, over 70 were injured, and EVERYBODY in the theater will forever suffer mental wounds. Sorry to put it like this, but it's very serious, I know about this through experience. Hava a heart. It's not that hard to say that you're sorry for their loss. I hate to put it like this, and may get skulled for doing this, but I just feel it's right to speak my mind and be polite. I just don't want to sound like a bitch. You will all be forever missed.

That's a sad thing. Pretty much one year ago (almost the same date) Anders Behring Breivik also killed a total of 77 people in Norway on an island and with a car bomb in Oslo, wounding another bunch of about 77 as well. Neither Breivik or the Batman killer committed a suicide which is quite exceptional. However, these guys are utterly nuts and irrational, and I'm not sure why there needs to be a topic here for the subject. I for one won't give any recognition for such a lunatic killer of innocent people.
I had this "77 Ways To Rock" playlist last year which I ran in parallel with Shadaloo's "99 Ways To Die". I might have to change the name in future.

They cancelled the premiere in Paris because of this shooting. That's just ridiculous. They should instead have shown some consoling words in memory of the dead and then shown the movie. By cancelling, the murderer wins. Giving in to such people is not the answer.

May the victims rest in peace and those who survived recover soon.

When I go to watch this movie, I will send a thought to the dead before enjoying the movie. That's the least I can do.

Seems there was an alleged copycat attempt in Maine. though the guy says he was on his way to NH to kill a former boss... the police found tons of ammo and guns with newspaper clippings of the Colorado incident in his car. Found more firearms at his home with lots more ammo. They said he was stopped while driving 112 MPH with his hazard lights on. When questioned they found out about his plans to kill his former boss and the fact that he'd attended a Batman showing in Saco the night before with loaded guns in his backback. Which is weird to me...because I didn't think backpacks were allowed in theaters (much more so after what happened in Colorado... you'd think the theaters would be more cautious about that sort of thing in consideration for what happened).

Don't understand what about this movie is bringing out the psychos... but it truly is a sick ordeal all around. The fact that there are people willing to attempt to copy it makes it even worse.

My condolences to the families and loved ones of those who passed. This is a truly devastating event. Although we hope that this does not mark a negative impression on theatres, gaming or the entertainment industry, the impacts on the families and friends outweigh the impacts on the entertainment industry by far. No amount of money from the box office can make up for the lives of these victims.

One of the victims who passed, a woman native to Toronto, Canada, was a NHL writer for the Colorado Avalanche and was at a gang-related shooting in a mall in Toronto not more than a couple months ago.

My thoughts are with their families.
