yes and no. The only reason I say no is because the graphics got a little better, but still kind of blocky looking. The reason I say yes is because of the whole battle between MK and DC. DC is a kid like version of a fighting game which is great....but its not for what MK had made itself to be. MK is a hardcore gut smashing, spine ripping, acid spitting, torso ripping nightmare waiting to be unleashed by the player controling them. Hell, when I first got the game, I wanted to see if i could do a fatality on superman or anyone from the DCU. NO. which btw the fatailties were god awful. And I understand why they were, because it was a "T" reated game and they would of got suited out the ass if they seen supermans head ripped off. To me, this wasn't a real MK game this was a sissy version.

MKvDC has a great gameplay. The Combo System rules! I love the Kombo Challenge and finished it at least 6 times completely. To be honest, some of those DC charakters would fit into a brutal MK game too, like Deathstroke, Darkside or Batman.

BUT WHAT SUCKS IS that this anti-brutal atmosphere! Scorpion and Sub-Zero fighting to death in the Wu-Shi-Academy without that gore we're used to see, combined with that damn Superman-like background music. Nah...that's just ugly.



If you're looking for a good fighting game, buy it. But if you're looking for the atmosphere you're used to, buy it only if it's cheap. It even doesn't feel like a MK game if you fight only against MK chars.

the problem is there will always be people that hate dc comic characters and no matter what that will sour their opinion of the game. whether mk vs dc got poor, medium or high reviews, they were gonna hate the shit out of it because it was not the violent mk8 that had been 'rumored' and 'promied' to them. that said, consider the above, always, about mk vs. dc opinions. the reality is mk vs dc turned out to be a solid game and the haters do not want to admit it. sure, i could care less about wonder woman, lex luthor looks lame in robo suit, it is teen rated, there is only 1 outfit per fighter, fatals are rather tame. but all that said guess what? it is still fun to play for what it is. i honestly feel the only major issue with the game is it does feel minimal and rushed and we all know midway was doomed and had little money, and even less time, to allow the game to be made properly. it sux there is no dlc or etc., to help spruce up the game. for me i had hours and hours of excellent matches against friends/family who enjoy fighting games and some of the matches were more fun that i have had in years in recent mk games. the fighting engine is solid and anyone can pick it up and play fairly easily, while experienced players can whoop ass with longer combos.

to sum up, mk vs dc is a very decent fighting game but it is missing a lot of standard extra content likely due to time limitations of bankrupt midway. i do not feel mk vs dc is worth full price but you can now buy it for $20-$30 used and even if you hate every single dc character and only ever play the mk characters, it is still worth it.

I really hate this game, but never played it.Maybe my opinion will change if I play it for a while.

if your a mk fan or a dc comics fan i believe youll like this. yes the fatalitys are indeed pg13 but i must say some are indeed brutal. i personally like it because its fun and not cannon in the for the original games. if i had to pick my all time favorite mk id go with mk trilogy

No but we all have our opinions and my opinion is no. Visually it was probably one of the best of 2010. The mechaincs went back to the MK2 style and that was good atleast for that time period. Rating.... again why are people so hyped over a freaking rating? Like seriously, if you should worry about something or you want to rant about something worry about the mechanics.

You people piss my off when you go on and on about a stupid rating. Did it take Mario to be PG13 to be one of the best selling games in game history? Did it take Pac-Man and Ms.Pac-Man to be ADULT to be the best international game alive? No it didn't so shut up with your whining about a STUPID RATING!

The game itself played fine, but it was so rushed. The roster was mediocre, so many missing characters on both sides (Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Mileena, Robin, Nightwing and Lobo to name a few.) There was so little to do in that game, no krypt, no mini games, I didn't dig on the kombo challenge. Personally MKDA and MKD were my favorite two of the 3D era.

Hi everyone ! To tell you the truth i saw a friend of mine playing it but i didn't see much. My friend told me that the game is awesome and i think i should buy it to see if it's good or not. I believe it's very good like all the other mortal kombat games.
